Hey everyone! Meet our newest LPC, Cindy! 😁
Hi! My name is Cindy Yang, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience working with adults ranging from ages 18 to 70 in both individual and group settings. I’ve worked with clients from various cultural backgrounds, helping them navigate depression, anxiety, panic, and grief. I am solution-focused and value collaboration with my clients in navigating their journey.
I work especially well with those who have spent years prioritizing performance, responsibility, and external expectations over their own needs and wellbeing. I find fulfillment in helping clients recognize and understand the roots of their people pleasing behaviors, identify what they actually want for themselves, and process past traumas that may be holding them back from living the life they actually want. My main modalities of mindfulness, reality therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy strive to challenge you to slow down and sit with your emotions, recognize the unwritten rules you follow that no longer serve you, identify what your needs and wants actually are (outside of all the noise you’re surrounded by), and create actionable steps towards living a life authentic to you.
