At one point this week I thought, “geez this desk is a MESS!” But it’s also a literal picture of how diverse my weekly tasks are. We’re a family-owned small business, so there’s no corporate office to handle things - it’s ME! Small business owners have so many roles besides their actual JOB (in my case, taking care of patients)… and then we still have to get our steps in 🤣 What’s on your desk this week??

I am honored to be one of D Magazine’s Best Dentists in Dallas from nominations of my colleagues. A lot of people don’t realize that orthodontists are dentists too! We become dentists first, then we do additional schooling specifically in orthodontics. Awards like this are the cherry on top, but the real joy is caring for the families who trust us with their smiles! 👩🏼‍⚕️🤩🦷

A new reason to smile: a new little member of the Hanson family!

On June 22nd, we welcomed our son, Luke Robert Hanson. He’s healthy and loved beyond measure. His big sister, Caroline, has already promoted herself to Chief Pacifier Officer, and we’re loving life as a family of four.

At Hanson Orthodontics, we talk a lot about joyful service to the families we serve, and becoming a mom of two has deepened my appreciation for the trust families place in us.
