It’s Black History Month! Let’s take a moment to recognize Black trailblazers in our industry. In 1969, Dr. Lela Llorens introduced a developmental theory of occupational therapy highlighting neurophysiological, psychodynamic, psychosocial, and physical influences that continue to shape OT practice today. Dr. Sandra C. Holley-Carter, a pioneering Black SLP, played a vital role in advancing the field of communication disorders and creating inclusive access to care across cultures and income levels. In PT history, Theodore “Ted” Corbitt - Olympian and father of American distance running - was among the first physical therapists to teach modernized practices and apply kinesiology. Thank you to the Black clinicians who continue to push the bounds of OT, ST, and PT! 💖

Today we have the honor of celebrating Samantha's 3 year anniversary with CEPT! 🎉

As our ABA Manager in Allen, Samantha plays a large role in the daily processes of the ABA department, but also the continuous growth of our wonderful team and the patients we serve. Every day, Samantha manages an everchanging schedule with numerous details, growing the department, supporting staff in the entire clinic, and ensuring all patients are receiving care with the love and respect they deserve. All this and more she does with compassion, professionalism, and a smile.

This year, Samantha has also been instrumental in launching the ABA program in our Mansfield clinic!! We truly could not have done it without her expertise and she continues to provide support and guidance as the clinic adds more patients to the program and acclimates to the addition of this new service.

Samantha is truly a gem in our CEPT family and we are incredibly grateful for the last three years of her hard work and endless giggles. Please join me in showing our love and appreciation for her! 💙💙

Please help me in congratulating and wishing Ellie Liss a very happy 1-year anniversary at CEPT! 🎉

Ellie is always willing to help out wherever she is needed and does so with a radiant smile and positive attitude.

Her encouraging and compassionate attitude creates a warm environment for her team members, jammers, and patients in her assists.

She handles so much around the clinic from ordering supplies to running the volunteer program here in Allen to assisting in sessions and everything in between with so much ease, it amazes me.

I've enjoyed seeing her grow in her first year and can't wait to see what the next year holds for her. I'm excited to continue watching her grow in her role.

I can't thank her enough for all her help and support.
