A pin and stretch of the piriformis muscle is one of the techniques I do on just about every client.

The piriformis is a flat, narrow muscle that runs from your lower spine through your butt to the top of your thighs. Your piriformis muscle extends to each side of your body and aids in almost every movement of your lower body.

The sciatic nerve most commonly runs underneath the piriformis. Piriformis syndrome occurs when your piriformis muscle compresses your sciatic nerve and results in inflammation. It can cause pain or numbness in your buttock and down the back of your leg.

It was time to restock massage gel so I decided to make the upgrade to extra strength CBD gel. CBD gel is ideal for massage therapy because of its natural anti-inflammatory effects, which help calm sore muscles and joints. Although there is still much research to be done, a recent case study has shown CBD reduces inflammation due to its activity with endocannabinoid receptors, which can act as the pathways in the body for inflammation.

If for some reason you do NOT want CBD gel used feel free to let me know.
