October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A cancer diagnosis can be life-altering in many ways, including its potential impact on fertility. Many cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation, and certain surgeries, can damage reproductive organs, reduce egg or s***m quality, or lead to early menopause. For those facing a cancer diagnosis, fertility preservation offers hope and a pathway to parenthood in the future, even amid the uncertainty of treatment.

With over 2.3 million new cases of breast cancer estimated globally each year, it remains the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women. This month, we are not only raising awareness about breast cancer but also highlighting the critical importance of fertility preservation for individuals navigating this journey.

At IVI RMA Global, we are honored to support patients who wish to preserve their ability to build a family after cancer. Our global network of fertility clinics collaborates closely with oncology teams to deliver personalized, compassionate care tailored to each patient’s unique needs.

Throughout October, we will be sharing stories, research breakthroughs, and innovative approaches to oncofertility from our teams worldwide. Together, we are empowering patients with knowledge and options for their future because we believe that hope, resilience, and the desire for parenthood should never be compromised by a diagnosis.
