Three main nerves travel from your arm into your hand—the median, ulnar, and radial nerves. When one of these nerves becomes compressed or “trapped” by surrounding tissue, it’s known as nerve entrapment syndrome.

This compression can interfere with normal nerve signals and may cause:
-Pain
-Numbness or tingling
-Weakness
-Limited movement

Common examples include carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and radial tunnel syndrome, often related to repetitive motion, injury, or inflammation.
Treatment ranges from rest, bracing, and therapy to medication or, in some cases, surgery.

If you’re experiencing persistent symptoms, early evaluation is key.

Arthritis in the hands is more common than many people realize—and it can affect everything from opening jars to buttoning a shirt. Over time, the cartilage in our joints wears down, leading to pain, stiffness, swelling, and decreased grip strength. While arthritis can’t be “cured,” the good news is that there are effective ways to manage symptoms and protect hand function.

I help patients explore a full range of treatment options, including activity modification, splinting, hand therapy, anti-inflammatory strategies, injections, and surgical solutions that can reduce pain and improve quality of life.

If you have questions or want to learn more about treatment options, contact our office at 610-973-6200 for an appointment.
