Daryl Walter Stephens, 76, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 in St. Luke’s Hospital – Fountain Hill.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Walter C. Stephens and Arbutus (Gross) Breinig and her husband Ben. Daryl attended Salisbury High School. He worked as a welder at the Moser Manufacturing Company – Foundry and Machine Shop in Allentown.

Daryl was always a faithful Christian first and a sports fanatic second. He took every chance he could to “bear witness” to anyone who would listen. Daryl was an avid Phillies and Steelers fan and owned a huge variety of sports collectibles. He also enjoyed socializing with friends by frequenting the Lehigh Valley Mall. Daryl’s love of geography and statistics was shown in his many visits to various cities throughout his lifetime.

Survivors: Daughters, Tracy Shea and her husband Ron of Lehighton, Kelly Kremposky of Lehighton; son, Daryl M. Stephens of Emmaus; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and their families; dear friend, Cassy Rivera. Daryl was also preceded in death by sisters Carol Bosch and Patricia Keck and son-in-law Joe Kremposky.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

Joan M. McCloskey, 80, of Salisbury Township and previously of Millington, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 in Country Meadows of Bethlehem Township.

Born in Westfield, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Jean (Millington) Hamm. Joan was a graduate of Westfield High School. She enjoyed working as a Purchasing Agent at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, for many years until her retirement. Joan was a member of the Meyersville Presbyterian Church in Gillette, New Jersey. While living in New Jersey, Joan owned a small Farmette and many horses, which she tended to with great care. She was also a proud member of the Environmental Advisory Committee.

Survivors: Cousins and their families, including Donald B. Brinton and his wife Debbie of Allentown; dear friends, Jim, Michelle and Jamianne Kelly of New Jersey; other extended family members and friends. Joan was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Hamm.

Services: There will be a private burial of Joan’s urn at Schuylkill Memorial Park in Schuylkill Haven in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.

Doreen I. Wilson, 89, of Allentown, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Parkland Manor, with her family by her side.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Percival and Myrtle (Gordon) Hamilton. Doreen was a graduate of the Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. She worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 50 years, spending her last 39 years at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown (formerly Allentown Osteopathic) until retiring in 2008. Doreen enjoyed sewing and traveling, was an avid Eagles football fan and always cared for animals. She loved her family immensely and was extremely proud to be a Canadian.

Survivors: Daughters, Sheralee Wilson of Tamaqua, Lynette Romig and her husband Charles of Slatington, Rhonda Rodriguez and her husband Michael of Portland, Oregon; 3 grandchildren, Matthew Romig, Olivia Romig and Jared Rodriguez. Doreen was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Hamilton.

Services: A graveside service will celebrated at a later date in warmer weather. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.

Dale Allen Martrich, Sr., 71, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in his home surrounded by his family. He and his wife, Michele A. “Mickie” (Patton) Martrich, shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Richard Eugene Martrich, Sr. and Lucy L. (Kern) Martrich. Dale was a 1973 graduate of William Allen High School. He worked as a Union Truck Driver for Eastern Industries for 30 years until retiring in 2010. Dale was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church of Eastern Salisbury. He was the Mountainville Football Program Coordinator for 6 years and was also a Scottish Rite Mason at the New Temple Lodge in Allentown. Most of all, Dale loved to fish and be outdoors, especially at the shore.

Survivors: His loving wife, Michele; sons, Robert M. Martrich and his wife Monica of Coplay, Anthony J. Martrich and his wife Cheryl Spalding of Emmaus, Dale A. Martrich, Jr. of Allentown; brothers, A. Scott Martrich of Allentown, Richard Eugene Martrich, Jr. and his wife Susan of Bethlehem; 9 grandchildren, Shane, Jordan, Blake, Nolan, Domenic, Jovani, Nicole, Taylor and Steven; nieces, nephews and their families. Dale was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Robin Renee Martrich.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 in the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held from 10 AM until the time of the service.

Carol A. Brensinger, 88, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. She and her husband, Robert L. Brensinger, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past October.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Frieda (Sodl) Levy. Carol was a graduate of Allentown High School, where she was recognized for being a talented violist in their all-girls orchestra. She worked as a bookkeeper at PP&L, in the banking industry and at the Fearless Fire Company in Allentown for many years until retiring in the 1980s. Carol loved making ceramics. She and Bob were avid bowlers, playing in various leagues throughout the years. They also enjoyed fishing and boating trips to Canada with friends for more than 30 years.

Survivors: Her loving husband, Bob; sister, Lorraine Harlan of Roaring Brook Township, PA; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; 3 great-nieces and 4 great-nephews; 1 great-great-niece.

Services will be private at the family’s request. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.

Gary Jay Laudenslager, 67, of Catasauqua, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice - 17th Street in Allentown.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Donald James and Hallie Kay (Kutzler) Laudenslager. Gary was a 1976 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He was a dedicated employee and Packaging Operator at the Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams Brewery) in Breinigsville for 23 years. Gary was a sports enthusiast and an avid Minnesota Vikings football fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his son and watching sports together, especially highlighted by the Duke vs. North Carolina game each year.

Survivors: Gary will be lovingly remembered by his son, Tanner Paul Laudenslager of Catasauqua and many dear friends. Gary was also preceded in death by a brother, Scott A. Laudenslager.

Services: A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, February, 21, 2026 at the The Jednota/Slovak Center Social Club, 1223 5th Street, Catasauqua. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.

Robert C. “Gus” Hoffert, 79, of Salisbury Township, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Cheryl L. (Miller) Hoffert, who died in 2018.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the Elwood P. Hoffert, Sr. and Florence (Morris) Hoffert. Gus was a graduate of Dieruff High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an auto body painter for many years at various local dealers, including Boody Chevrolet and Knopf Pontiac. In his retirement, Gus’s love of baseball led him to work as an usher at the Iron Pigs Stadium. He also enjoyed making model cars and solving crosswords. Most of all, Gus found joy in playing catch with his great-grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughter, Kimberly S. Hoffert of Salisbury Township; sisters, Louella Hoffert of Allentown and Gloria DeLong of Allentown; granddaughter, Alyssa Missmer-Thompson and her husband Casey Thompson of Schuylkill County; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Thompson and Rhys Thompson; sisters-in-law, Pamela L. Wert of Allentown and Karen A. Lore of Macungie. Gus was also preceded in death by a brother Elwood P. Hoffert, Jr. and a great-grandson Creed Thompson.
