Beautiful friendships 🥰

The friendship that these faithful ones enjoy in Legacy Place is special. They are surrounded by those who love Jehovah. This is what we wanted to provide for our elderly ones - an environment where they are cared for and surrounded by worshippers of Jehovah. Our hearts swell when we see moments like this.

The joy of holding a book in your hands! We took some of our residents to the Allentown Library and they enjoyed some quiet time and lots of reading.

Legacy Place offers a specialized memory care community for individuals with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. We have a position available at the moment in our Memory Care building so please apply if you have the need. Please share it with anyone who might be in need of this provision.

Residents living in our secure dementia unit require more supervision and care. Our caring professionals provide assistance with the same daily living activities as those provided to residents living in Personal Care, but in a way that is more specific to their memory needs.

We learned something new today - Baggy stamp painting. This is a painting technique where colors in a bag are used to stamp outlines or patterns that are then colored in or embellished with paint.

It combines the structural, repeatable design of stamping with the creative, free-form nature of painting.

Shoutout to our residents for always being open to learning new things and experimenting their skills!

Can you see the absolute joy on her face!! Geri loves music as do many in our home. 🎶

Music is crucial for seniors. It has proved to have cognitive, emotional, and physical health benefits, including enhanced memory, reduced stress, and increased social connection. Engaging with music lowers cortisol, improves mood, and can stimulate brain function in patients with dementia.

Baking with Betty! 👩‍🍳🧁

Old age doesn’t mean you need to give up on doing the things you love. Far from it, older ones feel a sense of accomplishment and joy when they do tasks that they enjoyed doing before.
We recognize that this is a way of dignifying them and showing them that their talents and love matters.

Exercise can be fun! Getting up the energy and the motivation to exercise can be difficult for older ones. So our team put on their thinking caps and have come up with some interesting ways to make this fun for everyone.

The museum interprets industry past, present and future through dynamic exhibits, hands-on interactives and engaging programs. We had an interesting time exploring the museum together.
