It was a beautiful day on the course, with proceeds from this annual event benefiting the HCS Inc. Education Fund, which provides scholarships and educational grants across the region. HCSC Linen Services held its Spring Linen Coordinators Meeting on Thursday April 10th at Brookside Country Club in Macungie, PA.

The meeting began with an introduction of HCSC’s new President & CEO, Rami Nemeh. Rami addressed the coordinators on his vision for the Cooperative, which includes more collaboration between HCSC Linen Services and our hospital partners.

Other topics included an Operations Report, Linen Products Update, Infection Control and Accreditation Report, Business Trends and Service Initiatives, as well as an overview of HCSC’s Customer Portals and introduction to the new customer scorecard.

We look forward to the next HCSC Linen Coordinator’s Meeting in October!

On Friday, we held a retirement party for our CFO & Vice President of Finance, Steve Gergar! 👏

Steve has been a dedicated member of our team for a little over 11 years and has made a huge impact on HCSC and MKBC!

We can't thank him enough for the work he has done for our organizations and we wish him nothing but the best as he embarks on this new journey! 🙌

A hospital laundry infection control tour focuses on verifying adherence to infection prevention practices and ensuring safe handling of soiled and clean textiles, from collection to storage, to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.

Recently, Infection Prevention and EVS management from Encompass Health conducted an Infection Control tour in HCSC’s Asbury Park facility to ensure compliance with all infection control and regulatory agency guidelines.

HCSC encourages facilities to volunteer for peer reviews which provide valuable feedback regarding overall laundering practices. When is the last time you toured your healthcare laundry facility?🤔
