Thanks to funds raised at last year’s Golf Classic, the Box Butte Health Foundation purchased a Nara bassinet for our OB department – helping provide safer, more comfortable care for moms and babies.

BBHF will be hosting its 9th Annual Golf Classic on Saturday, July 25th! Registration will open on July 1st.

Happy Health Information Professionals (HIP) Week!

Health information professionals are highly trained in the latest management technology applications, so they understand the workflow process in healthcare organizations. They work with all healthcare providers and departments to help ensure patient information and coding are correct and to promote patient safety through best documentation practices.

Amelia Gibson
Sport: Tennis
Amelia just placed 4th in the North Platte invite where she went 4 and 1 and placed 4th. She achieved a huge goal by beating the number one singles player in one of the best class B tennis programs. Amelia pushes herself to become a better player every day. The time she has put in and the work she puts in daily is really beginning to get her noticed.

Anna has been a great addition to our T&F program and our school. Anna is extremely coachable. She stays away from excuses and just works. Anna's willingness to do the hard things that will make her better athletically have led her to encouraging her teammates to join her in the 4x4. Anna's willingness to seek out growth by doing hard things is inspiring. Proud of you, Anna.

BBGH is proud to welcome Alaina Akey, OTD, OTR/L, CLT to our team of providers at the Rehab Center!

Alaina is an occupational therapist with advanced training in Complete Decongestive Therapy. CDT is the gold standard for treating lymphedema and is aimed at reducing swelling, improving skin health, and restoring mobility. This specialized therapy can also:
✔️improve recovery after surgery
✔️promote healing of underlying wounds by managing edema
✔️help patients return to the daily activities that matter most!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month for April, Nurse Assistant Tracy Roberts! Thank you for the compassionate care and teamwork you bring to BBGH every day.

Her nomination reads, "I always know it is going to be a good day when I see Tracy’s name on the whiteboard when I show up to work on the PCU. Being a nurse assistant is not a glamorous job and many go with little to no recognition of the work they do. Tracy does not just go through the motions of her job, she shows excellence by going above and beyond for ALL of her patients. There isn’t any “one great story” to tell because she treats all of her patients with the same compassion and respect they deserve. Tracy is one of the hardest workers I know. If there is a call light going off on the PCU for more than 10 seconds while Tracy is working, it is probably because she is already in a different room helping another patient. And you won’t hear any complaints coming from her if you happen to catch her while passing by; she will greet you with a smile and brighten your day. If any of my family members were patients here, I would want Tracy to be the one taking care of them because I know they would be getting the best care possible. Thank you, Tracy, for your compassion and excellence you exhibit as a BBGH employee. It does not go unnoticed.”
