Our MVPs battle hard on the mat and show strong leadership for their teams! Here are our Most VALUEable Players for this week:

🤼‍♂️Alliance MVP of Week #19 is:
Jett Childers
Sport: Wrestling
Jett Childers has been selected as this week’s BBGH MVP for his exceptional teamwork and leadership. He placed third at district wrestling last week, earning his way back to the state tournament in Omaha for the second consecutive year. Jett exemplifies what it means to be a great teammate—always positive, supportive, coachable, and consistently giving 100% effort in everything he does. As only a sophomore, he is already a true leader on the high school team and represents exactly what it means to be a Bulldog.

🤼‍♂️Hemingford MVP of Week #19 is:
Owen Plog
Sport: Wrestling
Owen has been in a leadership role on this team for the past 3 years. Being a senior and qualifying for state wrestling through an injury is a great example to the rest of his teammates about mental and physical toughness!

The staff of BBGH is committed to the values of Safety, Excellence, Compassion, Integrity, Devotion and Teamwork every day. BBGH strives to promote these values in our work and community. Recognizing these values in others magnifies our message to continually work to achieve greatness. During each season, BBGH recognizes and celebrates Box Butte County high school student athletes who embody one (or more) of our values on or off the court/field/track/mat. Thank you to everyone who participates in nominating and recognizing these !

🏆Congratulations to the Environmental Services Department! They have been awarded the Traveling Trophy! Here is their nomination:

“The Environmental Services Department is nominated for the Traveling Trophy in recognition of the incredible role they play in keeping our hospital safe, clean, and healthy. Our facility consistently stands out for its cleanliness, and that is a direct result of the pride, accountability, and consistency this team brings to their work every day.
EVS is essential to infection prevention and patient safety. Their work behind the scenes has a direct impact on patient outcomes, and their attention to detail ensures that care is delivered in an environment that supports healing.
What truly sets this department apart is their collaborative approach. Rather than allowing barriers or friction between departments, the EVS team actively engages in problem-solving alongside nursing and other teams. A great example is their implementation of precaution carts, which has made PPE more accessible and workflows smoother for frontline staff.
The EVS team brings strengths from all four Clifton Strengths domains. Their Executing strengths show in their reliability and follow-through. Their Relationship Building strengths allow for strong collaboration and mutual respect across departments. Their Strategic Thinking strengths are reflected in the practical, proactive solutions they bring forward, and their Influencing strengths help drive positive change that supports safety and quality throughout the hospital.
The Environmental Services Department is highly deserving of this recognition. Their contributions are essential to patient safety, infection control, and a positive work environment. They set the bar high, and it does not go unnoticed! Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our patients and staff safe.”

Meet our MVPs-strong players who are driving success and delivering results! Here are our Most VALUEable Players for this week:

🏀Alliance MVP of Week #18 is:
Nason Thompson
Sport: Basketball
Nason is a kid that goes above and beyond. He is always doing what is asked of him, and he is giving 100% every single day.

🏀Hemingford MVP of Week #18 is:
Tayten Haas
Sport: Basketball
While Tayten's scoring was steady (12 PPG), the real story is his defensive disruption. Averaging 3.7 steals per game. It translates to extra possessions and transition opportunities that don't always show up in the individual scoring column, but absolutely dictate the outcome of the game. Combining that with a near double-double in rebounds shows a player who is willing to do the "dirty work" required to win.

The staff of BBGH is committed to the values of Safety, Excellence, Compassion, Integrity, Devotion and Teamwork every day. BBGH strives to promote these values in our work and community. Recognizing these values in others magnifies our message to continually work to achieve greatness.
