For both of my pregnancies I chose to monitor my glucose instead of doing the standard glucose tolerance test (GTT) because I wanted to see how my body responds to my normal meals and routines. ✨
Understanding my real-life blood sugar patterns felt more aligned with how I actually live day-to-day — and it’s been so empowering to see what my body does naturally and how my body responds to the food I eat!
For 3 weeks I checked my blood sugar 4 times a day— Fasting and an hr after each meal. Thankfully, all of my readings were within a normal and healthy range.
Something that I did notice is that when I was under stress or hadn’t slept well the night prior, my levels were on the higher side of normal.📈This is a vital piece of information that I can use to improve my health during and outside of pregnancy! 🌿
