The bulk freighter New Orleans sank in a collision with steamer William R. Linn in a fog in 1906. The New Orlean’s crew were rescued by William R. Linn. Located North Of Thunder Bay Island in Alpena Michigan, Lake Huron with diver Lee Rosenberg. Depth is 145 feet deep with 39 degree Fahrenheit water.
