Dear friends, family, and customers of LeFave Pharmacy,

I want to address an important issue that has recently come to my attention.

Some of our Priority Health Medicare patients received a letter from Express Scripts—the pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) that administers prescription benefits for this plan—stating that LeFave Pharmacy was no longer in network and that prescriptions could no longer be filled with us.

❌This information was incorrect. ❌This letter was wrong.

LeFave Pharmacy remains in network for Priority Health Medicare plans. The letter that was sent to patients was an error.

Unfortunately, situations like this are not uncommon for independent pharmacies. Large pharmacy benefit managers have significant influence over prescription networks and patient communication, and mistakes—or misleading notices—can have real consequences for local pharmacies and the patients we serve. In this case, the damage was already done before a correction was issued, and we lost valued patients as a result.

I have attached the official retraction letter acknowledging their error.

If you ever receive a letter from an insurance company stating that you can no longer use LeFave Pharmacy, please contact us directly before making any changes. While these letters often appear legitimate, they are not always accurate—and we can help verify the information for you.
