Step-by-Step Overview
1. Consultation & Skin Assessment
Lisa begins by examining the skin to confirm the vessels are true telangiectasia and chooses the safest laser type based on skin tone and vessel depth.
2. Skin Preparation
The area is cleansed and prepped. Protective eyewear is placed on both the client and the practitioner.
3. Laser Selection
Lisa selects a vascular laser (commonly a vascular-focused diode, IPL, or Nd:YAG) designed to target hemoglobin in the vessel without damaging surrounding skin.
4. Targeted Laser Pulses
She delivers controlled pulses of light directly over each vessel.
The heat energy causes the vessel to collapse and fade over time.
5. Cooling & Comfort
A cooling system or chilled tip is used to keep the skin comfortable and reduce heat sensation.
