Today marks a milestone that fills our entire team with gratitude and pride. Five years ago, we opened our doors with one mission: to create a compassionate, safe space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. As we celebrate this anniversary, our hearts are full.

Congratulations to our founder, Meenal Patel, counselor and psychotherapist at Lotus Wellness, for earning her Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS) credential in Georgia!

She completed a 30-hour CEU training with The Knowledge Tree, Dr. Becky Beaton, and Thaxton (thank you!!), passed the licensing exam, and is now officially qualified to supervise interns and provisionally licensed professionals in GA.

Your worth isn’t measured by how busy you are. Slowing down is not a weakness; it’s an act of self-respect. Listen to your body, honor your limits, and allow space for recovery. Rest is how you heal, grow, and show up fully. You deserve peace. You deserve rest.

Mental health takes time because healing isn’t linear. It’s a process of unlearning, relearning, and building healthier patterns—often after years of internalizing pain or dysfunction. Progress can feel slow, with good days and setbacks woven together. There’s no quick fix or perfect path, and that’s okay. Patience is essential, as real change comes from consistent effort, self-awareness, and support. Just like physical recovery, mental healing requires rest, care, and time to rebuild strength. Give yourself grace through the ups and downs. Growth happens quietly, gradually—and every small step forward matters more than it may seem in the moment.

To apologize sincerely, begin by acknowledging the impact of your actions on the other person. Avoid excuses and focus on their feelings. Take full responsibility for what you did, showing empathy for their hurt. Use “I” statements to express regret without blaming them or deflecting responsibility. For example, "I’m sorry for what I said; I realize it hurt you." Offer a commitment to change your behavior in the future, demonstrating that you’re willing to grow. Lastly, ask for forgiveness, but allow the other person time and space to process their emotions. A genuine apology is about healing, not just words.
