I’m not anti-core exercises.

But I am anti-mindless repetition.

Most people with low back pain don’t just need a “stronger core.”

They need:

• Better spinal awareness
• Better control through movement
• Better coordination under load

You can plank forever…

But if your spine loses position the second you bend, rotate, or pick something up — your back will keep getting irritated.

Strength without control is just tension.

Control is what protects you.

Right before our Disney trip, I tweaked my low back and honestly thought I’d spend most of the vacation stuck in the hotel bed.

But instead of hoping the pain would magically disappear, I leaned on something I teach every day — knowing what my body specifically needs when things flare up.

A few targeted movements, the right progressions, and a little consistency each day made the difference.
I was able to walk the parks, ride everything with my family, and actually be present for the memories — instead of letting pain run the schedule.

Preparedness doesn’t mean you’ll never have pain.

It means pain doesn’t get to control your life when it shows up.
