💚 **What is Physical Therapy? That Depends on *Your* Goals.** 💚

For Lou, physical therapy wasn’t just about recovery—it was about **staying home**. With an upcoming orthopedic surgery that would keep him **non-weight bearing for at least a month**, Lou’s goal was to recover safely in his own home rather than going to a rehab hospital.

Here’s what he shared about his experience at Altamont PT:
⭐ *“The feeling of caring from the staff and the extra effort being put into helping me with equipment to get through my non-weight-bearing recovery has meant everything. Erik took extra time to study, figure out, fit, and teach me how to use the device properly.”*

This is what individualized care looks like—listening first, planning ahead, and doing the extra work so our patients can recover where they want to be.

At Altamont PT, **your goals guide the plan**.

💡 Tuesday Tip: Strength Is Your Best Winter Insurance ❄️

Ice and snow are out of your control—but your strength, balance, and flexibility aren’t. A few minutes a day working on leg strength and balance can go a long way in helping you stay steady and confident all winter long.

Small, consistent effort now helps prevent big setbacks later. Keep reaching new heights 💚

**Groundhog Day 🦫❄️**

Whether Punxsutawney Phil predicts more winter or an early spring, one thing stays the same—movement matters. If aches, stiffness, or pain feel like they’re *on repeat*, it might be time to change the pattern.

Don’t relive the same pain day after day. Let’s help you move better and keep **reaching new heights**—no shadow required 💚

**Patient Win 💚**

“The most important reason I recommend Altamont Physical Therapy is that Stephanie explains *why* I’m having symptoms and *how* we’re going to resolve them. I’m treated with respect and consideration at all times.”

Understanding your body is empowering. When you know the *why* behind your care, progress feels purposeful—and lasting.

**Service Spotlight: LSVT BIG 💚**

LSVT BIG is a specialized, research-backed physical therapy program designed for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. It focuses on **bigger, more intentional movements** to help improve walking, balance, posture, and overall confidence with daily activities.

At Altamont PT, LSVT BIG is delivered one-on-one by Doctors of Physical Therapy who tailor the program to each individual’s goals—whether that’s reducing fall risk, moving more freely, or staying active and independent. With the right guidance and consistency, bigger movements can lead to meaningful, lasting change.

**Tuesday Tip: Set a Winter Goal ❄️⛰️**

The winter doldrums can make it tough to stay motivated, but movement matters most when it feels hardest. Try setting **one small, realistic goal**—a daily walk, a quick stretch, or 5 minutes of strengthening—and build from there.

Consistency keeps you moving forward. Keep showing up, keep moving, and keep **reaching new heights** 💚

Small Wins Matter 💪
You don’t need a perfect week to make progress—just a few small wins.
One walk. One stretch. One workout you didn’t skip.

Those small choices add up to big changes. Keep showing up and keep reaching new heights.
