Recently, we had a woman come in who had several
c-sections and was experiencing intense TMJ and anxiety.

I told her it could be coming from her c-section scar(s).

She looked at me a little confused and I explained to her how scar tissue works in the body and the “straight jacket” effect that it creates on tissue.

If you grab your shirt at the belly button area and start to pull it tight and twist it, notice how the shirt gets tight in your shoulders and back too.

That’s what scar tissue does in the body.

It pulls and tightens and can be the reason you have unexplainable pains in other parts of your body!

No matter where the surgical scar is on your body, it will impact other areas.

All your tissue is connected!!!

So, if you’ve ever had surgery, and you’ve never had MPS, it may be time to book a session and release the tension the scar is creating in your mind and body ✌🏼

Humming is healing y’all.

I know it sounds so simple, and that’s because it is!!

You can do it anytime, or anywhere.

Shoot, you can even hum silently in your head and it will still help soothe the nervous system.

That’s how powerful this simple practice is!

Sometimes I’ve even found it’s easier for people to turn to humming in times where their nervous system is feeling heightened instead of breathwork.

Often times we’ve already associated breath with panic and anxiety so it’s harder for that to calm and soothe us.

So, go ahead, try it right now.

Natalie and I officially graduated herbalism school on Saturday 🥹

It was so beautfiul to get to grow through this training together and learn more about the healing power of plants.

We have lots of good stuff coming your way for the mind, body and spirit!

Guess who’s back at Heal.!!

Lisa!

If you have been around for awhile you may remember Lisa from the studio from when we first opened.

She was pursuing her HR degree at the time and left to go begin her career as an HR specialist.

After a few years of doing that, her heart began to miss massage.

She asked if she could share massage again on the weekends around her HR schedule and the answer was “heal yes”!

Massages with Lisa are soul soothing. There’s a warmth to her hands that warms your heart.

She can do deep pressure in a way that feels ahhhhmazing and helps to lessen pain and restore mobility.

Helping people in this way is a passion of hers and that is why she found her way back to the massage table.

Holy Heal. y’all. Today is our 7th birthday 🎂

I can’t even believe that.

It feels like just yesterday that I maxed out all of my credit cards and took out a giant loan to open this space….

Well, actually, not even this space because this space is way different than what Heal. originally was.

If you’ve been around awhile, you’ll remember we had a salt booth, float tank and yoga when we first opened.

It’s not about what it used to be though, because what Heal. is today is greater than I ever imagined could be possible.

I pinch myself everyday that going here and seeing you all is what I have to call “work”.

It lights my whole soul up to be here in this place.

Working alongside some of my favorite human beings who happen to be the top massage therapists in the Central Florida area.

Getting to serve every single one of you who continuously put your trust into our services.

The stories of transformation and healing that I have heard over the years gets my eyes all wet whenever I stop to think about it.

This space has encouraged me to continuously further my education and deepen my knowledge so that I can better serve every single person who walks through the door.

I’ve also aligned with other therapists who hold that same intention so you truly are in great hands no matter whose table you are on.

Because of that, we are 90% repeat business with over 80% of that coming from referrals.

What a compliment that is 🥹

We’re not a big box corporate place, it started with just little old me with a dream and a big old heart for healing.
