Older Adults Health Council

Older Adults Health Council The Older Adults Health Council is a meeting for Healthcare Professionals who serve senior population and last about an hour.

Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of Each month at 10:30 a.m. Each meeting does have an opportunity for attendees to stand up and briefly introduce themselves and their organization/services. Also, each meeting has an Educational speaker that talks for about 20-30 minutes.

Giving back to our community has been a huge part of what OAHC is all about. When we heard many senior who receives meals on wheels are giving that food to their pets as they cannot afford pet food, we knew we could step up. At our meeting today we asked for pet food donations and out members came through! All this dog and cat food completely filled a shopping cart 🩷

Mark your Calendars!!!!!

Our last meeting of the year will be Tuesday, November 19th at SSP @ 10am.

Details for the meeting are below:

- We will have some snacks & light refreshments

-Just like last year, we will work on greeting cards that will be distributed to seniors in skilled nursing & assisted livings who don't have family that visit them for the Holidays.
If you would like to bring cards to sign, please make sure they don't say things like, Home for the Holidays- or anything to do with Home or family. Generic is better! This is a wonderful program that the Ombudsman's partner with- they appreciate our support & help with this. You don't have to bring cards to participate... we will have cards that need to be signed.

-We will be collecting Dog Food, Cat Food and Cat Litter that will be delivered by the Meals on Wheels drivers to the folks who are in need.
Please bring your donated item or items to the meeting on November 19th!
