What a great announcement to receive on Veterans Day! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Peerstar of PA is proud to announce that we have officially signed the Statement of Support for the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) a commitment that reinforces our appreciation and ongoing support for the men and women who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

By signing this statement, Peerstar pledges to:

•Recognize and honor the vital role of our Guard and Reserve employees in maintaining the strength and security of our nation.
•Provide our continued support to employees who serve, including flexibility for military training and deployment.
•Uphold the values of respect, integrity, and community that define both Peerstar and those who serve.

This partnership represents more than a signature, it’s a reflection of our company’s commitment to service, leadership, and community support. We extend our gratitude to all our employees who serve or have served in the armed forces, and to their families for the sacrifices they make. Together, we are proud to stand with ESGR in supporting those who protect and defend our freedoms.

Remember, you are all part of the growth and development of our programs. We are PEERSTAR PROUD of our Veterans that work for us and continue to showcase strength, resilience, and support to those they meet. We are also PEERSTAR PROUD of the Veteran Peers that we provide support to on their pathways to recovery. Remember staying safe online can be tricky. It can be confusing. There are plenty of things that hackers/spammers can utilize in order to become someone you may or may not know. Sending your personal information is dangerous. Sending your address and other things can be detrimental.

NEVER:
-Provide Address
-Phone Number
-Social Security Number
-Birth Date

If someone says they know you or show up as a profile you know, ask for verification. Phone calls, video chatting, and other options.

If you find yourself in challenging situations with social media, peer support might be able to support you, in understanding how to protect yourself!

Here are some tips to stay safe when on social media:

- Don't Respond: If you receive a message from someone you dont know, ignore the message or block the person if you feel uncomfortable.
- Don't Share Personal Info: Never share sensitive information like your address, phone number, or financial details with someone you don't know.
- Be Cautious with Links: Avoid clicking on links from strangers, as they might be phishing attempts or malware.
- Watch for Red Flags: Be wary of messages that are overly friendly, pushy, or make you feel uncomfortable.
- Report Suspicious Messages: Report the message to the platform's moderators or authorities if you feel threatened or harassed.

Your safety is a priority. Trust your instincts and prioritize your online well-being!
