Dr. Linus Pauling, a two-time Nobel Prize winner, famously stated that all diseases could be traced back to a mineral deficiency. I completely agree with this truth. I see this in so many of my patients, especially the ones who are on many different prescription meds.
This insight speaks to the critical role minerals play in our overall health. Essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, and potassium are key to supporting everything from bone health and muscles to hormones and heart function. Minerals are also very beneficial in healing the intestinal mucosal membrane, which is essential for proper nutrient absorption .
Yet, in today’s modern diet, many of us fall short on these vital nutrients. A lack of minerals can lead to a variety of health issues, making it all the more important to ensure your diet is rich in these building blocks. Whether through whole foods or supplements, maintaining proper mineral intake is essential.
As Pauling suggested, mineral deficiencies can be the hidden cause behind many ailments.
