Centre Care staff and CPI Central Pennsylvania Institute of Science and Technology LPN clinical group, had the opportunity to participate in our Virtual Dementia Training.

The Virtual Dementia Tour that Grane offers is the original patented, evidence-based method of building a greater understanding of Dementia, by bringing awareness and empathy in individuals caring for those living with the disease.

The goal of this training is to:
-Enhance training and development by providing a hands-on learning experience.
-Improve resident outcomes by fostering patient- centered care that leads to better interactions and well-being.
-Strengthen team collaboration by uniting staff with a shared understanding of Dementia challenges.

Geriatric Interest Network (GIN) of Centre County is a group of individuals who recognize the importance of building collaborative relationships by offering regular advocacy, education, and networking opportunities. The GIN board is comprised of fifteen members who represent a diverse professional background and are all committed to furthering the vision and mission of the Network. Our very own Community Liaison, Taylor Brookens, proudly sits on this board.

Grane Hospice would like to extend the invite to GIN's Fall Conference on Tuesday, November 18th - "Empowering Change: Sexual Violence Education Surrounding Older Adults and Community Action."
