Update: Yesterday's vote was in favor of HB 1957 being moved forward to the Senate. It is a long process before this would even become a bill and it's not likely that it will even get past the Senate - but I think this is a good reminder of where we are on this topic. It's utterly heartbreaking that it went this far. We don't wrestle flesh and blood, evil is real. But, Jesus has the victory. Keep praying, friends!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

Friends - I just got off the phone with Scott Barger....

The House voted in favor to amend HB 1957 which will allow abortion past viability if determined by a medical professional that delivering a child could be detrimental to the mother's mental well-being and making abortion to be a constitutional right clear up to birth of the child. The vote yesterday was 102-101. This will be back on the agenda for today around 1 or 2pm. If it passes through this consideration, it will pass out of the House and move to Senate.

Here's the prayer request: Two Republicans voted yes on this yesterday, which put the vote in favor. Pray that these Republicans (as well as with any Democrats) that they change their vote and the bill ends here. Pray that they have courage to say 'No' to HB 1957.

I’ve been trying to find the right words to describe our time in Romania last week. It was such a full and overwhelmingly blessed trip that I’ve struggled to capture it all. But here’s my best attempt.

We started in Oradea, where we were welcomed so warmly by our dear friends. We are deeply grateful to Gabi and Mihaela for their hospitality and for coordinating time with the Pulse staff and the purity presenters. We visited the pregnancy center and got to see their new medical portion of the clinic. We were able to observe a purity presentation in a village outside Oradea, which was both meaningful and eye-opening. We wandered through the Christmas Market in the center city, and Samuel even got to have his favorite meal (spaghetti) —small kindnesses that filled our hearts.

Next, we traveled south to Boldești-Scăeni to visit with our friends there. Pastor Pikki and his family were so gracious to us. We got to tour the medical clinic and see their afterschool program. We enjoyed another Christmas Market in Ploiești, and Samuel made new friends despite the language barrier—proof that joy and play don’t need translation. Many, many sweet memories were made.

Through it all, the Lord was present. Our conversations were rich with ministry focus discussions, sharpening and encouraging one another for God’s glory. We returned home grateful—grateful for the partnerships we have with My Brother's Keeper Romania, and grateful for the meaningful connections it allows Precious Life to have throughout Romania. We have walked away feeling honored to be part of it.

Lastly, be praying for our friends in Romania. They are serving the people the very best they can with the guidance of the Lord but this is not without challenges! 🙏🏻

Giving Tuesday is tomorrow. 🙂 In the meantime, we invite our community to help families in our area. We offer a diaper program for our clients and it is such a blessing to so many families! 👨‍👩‍👧 This program allows them to meet the needs of their child and save a few dollars to put towards other household expenses.

👶 We are in need of diapers in sizes 6 (we are critically low with this size), size 4, and size 2. You can order them online and have them shipped to our office or drop them off. You can also do Subscribe & Save on Amazon and have them delivered each month.

Hello from Romania!

The Haluskas landed Saturday evening in Oradea. We got to spend time with our Centrul PULS friends yesterday and attended a beautiful worship service together. Today we will spend time at the pregnancy center then celebrate Union Day and head to the Christmas Market!

Before we step into Giving Tuesday next week, I want to share a moment that occurred recently.

We partnered with a local church to provide Thanksgiving Meal Boxes to our clients in need. As I was helping carry one of the boxes to a mom’s vehicle, she stopped, tears in her eyes, and said: “If it weren’t for Precious Life, I’m not sure I would have ever accepted this pregnancy. Thank you for everything.”

We invite our community to help create more of these life-changing moments. We are in desperate need of baby wipes. This is our most critical need – we go through on average 86 packs of wipes each month, that’s roughly 21 packs per week. We have been blessed in the past to offer wipes to each of our clients for every visit, but we’ve recently been unable to provide as we used to because we keep running out.

Would you consider doing a Subscribe & Save on Amazon and have wipes delivered each month? If we had 5 people supply a box of 16 pack wipes monthly, we’d be set for the year!
