Thank you Mr. Ashley Wilson!
JCMH is thankful for the artwork donated for the Operating Room/ICU waiting room from Mr. Ashley Wilson, who donated the piece painted by Tri Minh in memory of his parents, Bodie and Gladys Wilson.
He has a wonderful story that accompanies the donation - he says, "I lived in Saigon, Vietnam from 1957-1961 with my parents. Dad was an agronomist. I had the unbelievable luck to have painting lessons from Tri Minh when I was 10-12 years old. He was South Vietnam's greatest and most successful artist. After he moved to Dallas, we were friends until his passing in 2010."
We are thankful for the colorful piece to beautify the area that so many families spend time in!

It's National Medical Staff Services Week! The JCMH Medical Staff Services department performs credentialing to assess qualifications of providers before they provide services to patients. They ensure that providers are qualified and meet an organization's criteria. There is a lot of diligence in this qualification that goes on in the background before a provider ever begins practicing at JCMH.
Thank you to our Medical Staff Services!

When you come to a hospital to have a procedure done, you're trusting that the hospital is ensuring that the people who have credentials at the facility are appropriately trained to do what they
say they're going to be doing.
That's the job of our Medical Staff Services team at JCMH!
Thank you for using your expertise in areas such as medical staff organization, accreditation, provider enrollment, regulatory compliance, and being a gatekeeper of patient safety!
Happy Medical Staff Professionals week!

Congratulations to Tommy Graham, the November Employee of the Month!
Tommy is an EVS Tech and has been at JCMH for 18 years. His nominators say about him, “There was a patient in the first floor of the Medical Clinic who couldn’t get into her vehicle to leave and needed help. I saw Tommy help her call someone to assist her, and he stayed with her until she was able to leave. He talked kindly to her and was exactly the kind of employee we want working in our hospital.”
Thank you, Tommy, for going Above and Beyond for JCMH!

Through you, our community donors, the Mac Mollison Scholarship has offered over 100 scholarships since 1998, and supported Southwest Oklahoma medical students and higher-level nursing students in achieving their degree.

This benefit is two-fold. In memory of Dr. Mac Mollison, the scholarship was established to continue his tradition of financial support and mentorship to medical students. The scholarship was also founded to assist medical students in obtaining their education, a profession that always needs more providers.

This year, our committee provided scholarships for medical students Isabella Darby, Jake Duncan, Gant Duncan, Kelcie Burns, and Nurse Practitioner Student Stacey Fort.

We are asking for your tax-deductible donations to continue this legacy. With your support, we can carry on the traditions of Dr. Mollison and further benefit our community with medical provision. We can now take donations online!

The JCMH Auxiliary recently purchased three new much needed stretchers for Same Day Surgery and GI Lab. Jasmine Newman, SDS Nurse Manager says, “We are so thankful for our volunteers and their generous donation of three new stretchers! Their generosity keeps us moving forward, and keeps our patients riding in comfort and care. JCMH is blessed to have volunteers that invest in the well-being of our patients and community.”
The JCMH Auxiliary is made up of 21 men and women who staff the JCMH Gift Shop and JCMH Snack Bar, as well as the front desk. Monies generated from the Gift Shop and Snack Bar are used for major equipment purchases and donations to hospital projects. Volunteers are an essential part of the hospital. They perform a variety of services to help patients and visitors. Being a volunteer is an experience that brings many personal rewards, and both men and women are encouraged to apply. A volunteer is often the first person a visitor encounters and is a much-needed friendly face to ease the anxiety that can accompany a hospital stay. Most volunteers work four hours shifts in their service area.
