Please join us today 3:54pm today for a Moment of Silence.
The Altus Chamber of Commerce asks that all local citizens and businesses join in on the moment of silence from 3:54PM to 4PM on Friday, April 17th in honor of those who have fallen. If you're able to step outside at 4PM, the moment of silence will conclude at that time with a two-ship KC-135 flyover at AAFB in their honor. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of those who served.

In honor of the six fallen airmen from the Zeus95, Altus Air Force Base will observe 6 minutes of silence on Friday April 17 at 3:54 PM.

Because every KC-135 aviator passes through training at Altus—and with one of the fallen having served at the KC-135 FTU here, AAFB considers it a privilege to honor these Airmen and their connection to our base.

The Chamber asks that all local citizens and businesses join in on the moment of silence from 3:54PM to 4PM on Friday, April 17th in honor of those who have fallen. If you're able to step outside at 4PM, the moment of silence will conclude at that time with a two-ship KC-135 flyover at AAFB in their honor. April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Awareness matters. Listening matters. And Believing Children matters.
Help Spread Awareness!

💙 THE TRUTH ABOUT DISCLOSURE 💙

Most people think they would know if a child was being abused… but the reality is very different.

👉 Only 1 in 10 children ever tell, which tells us 90% of children will not ever tell.
👉 Many children delay disclosure for months or even years
👉 And despite common belief, false reports are rare

‼️Children are far more likely to NOT DISCLOSE than to lie! When a child is brave enough to tell, we have a responsibility to believe them.‼️

This is is why awareness matters.
This is why listening matters.
This is why believing children matters.

💬 Take a moment and ask yourself…
Would you recognize the signs if a child trusted you enough to tell?

📣 Help us spread awareness:

💙 Drop a blue heart if you support protecting children

🫶Believe children. Listen without judgment. Report concerns.
📣 Follow Booker’s Place to help protect children in our community.
