Wellness is not simply a concept to be applied at an individual level, nor is it exclusive to those in the medical and health profession. Wellness is a continual process that should include Northwestern Oklahoma State University students, employees and citizens of the community. It should be cooperative efforts in helping people improve all five dimensions of being: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. Healthy lifestyles, rather than what a person can do, constitute process. If a person does the process (i.e., adopting a healthy lifestyle), positive changes will occur to the extent that change is possible for that specific person. Any person can benefit from lifestyle change, and any person can change a lifestyle. These lifestyle changes will make a difference in health, fitness and wellness for all people.

Survival Swim registration opens today!

The Alva, Oklahoma swim location enrollment opens today at 10 AM. The online self-enrollment link will post at that time on our page. Time spots go quickly, so if you are unable to secure a spot, reach out to me as we may add a few more. The program is customizable so ensure that you go back each time and choose a day and time because it will not automatically enroll you for every day. I will be available to assist if you encounter an issue.

It's almost time to celebrate our Rangers!

Fall Commencement at Northwestern Oklahoma State University is Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2:30 p.m. in Percefull Fieldhouse.

NWOSU alumnus Thad Dilbeck will deliver the commencement address. Dilbeck played quarterback and wide receiver for the Ranger football team, playing on two Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference Champion teams in 1986 and 1989. He earned two degrees from Northwestern and has served over 25 years as a teacher, coach and administrator.

A reception honoring the graduates will immediately follow the ceremony in the Student Center Commons area.
