Our statewide Jersey Mike’s Day of Giving is happening tomorrow in Amarillo, and we are so excited to come together to support Special Olympics Texas! ❤️

Stop by your local Jersey Mike’s and 100% OF SALES made ALL DAY LONG will go directly back to Special Olympics Texas!

We will have athletes out at Jersey Mike’s during lunchtime and the evening, greeting customers, holding doors, and most importantly sharing their stories and the impact Special Olympics has had on their lives. This is what makes this day so special!

What a fun weekend at our Area 16 Special Olympics Texas Basketball Tournament! 🏀🎉 The turnout, energy, and community support made this tournament unforgettable.

A huge THANK YOU to Amarillo High, a proud Unified Champion Schools - Texas, for hosting us and opening your doors for this special event. We are so grateful for your facility and the amazing staff who supported us throughout the entire tournament, we couldn’t have done it without you!

A special thank you to Amarillo Police Department’s newest Chief, Chief Hover, and Sergeant Burr for joining us and helping carry the Flame of Hope alongside our athletes.

Shoutout to Lindsey Stiner News with NewsChannel 10 for serving as our incredible emcee and helping bring so much excitement and energy to the event!

A very special thank you to Ed Montana for the singing of our National Anthem. It was powerful and a perfect way to start off the tournament.

We are also so thankful for Atmos Energy for cooking lunch and taking care of our athletes, and Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages for donating Powerades to keep everyone hydrated all day long. Your generosity made a huge impact!

A special thank you to the River Road High School Cheerleaders for coming out and supporting our athletes, your energy and encouragement made the day even more exciting!

And a very special THANK YOU to all of our volunteers and supporters who took the time to come out this weekend, your dedication and heart made this an incredible experience for our athletes. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

This month, our amazing partners at Jersey Mike’s Subs are proudly supporting Special Olympics Texas Team Texas as they prepare to compete at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

🏀 Our Special Olympics Texas Area 16 Basketball Competition is almost here and we need YOUR help! 🏀

On Saturday, March 21st, we’ll be hosting our Area 16 Basketball Competition at Amarillo High School, and we could not be more excited! A huge thank you to Amarillo High for allowing us to use their amazing facilities to make this day possible for our athletes.

Now we need our community to show up and show out like you always do! 🤍

Our friends at SLERG (Servant Leadership Employee Resource Group) at Pantex dove headfirst into the icy waters to support Special Olympics Texas and their bravery paid off! Together, they helped us raise over $10,500 to fund year-round sports training, health programs, and competitions for athletes right here in the Texas Panhandle.

🏆 They also earned the “Highest Fundraising Team” award! And a special shout out to Kenny Steward, who was recognized as the Top Individual Fundraiser!

This is what true community partnership looks like. We are so grateful for organizations like Pantex Plant and SLERG who continue to show up, give back, and champion our athletes in such a big way. ❤️

Amarillo & the Texas Panhandle!!!!! I know our Polar Plunge already happened… but that doesn’t mean we’re done making waves! 🤍

Our CEO, Tim Martin, has officially put his winter bravery on the line. He’s pledged to take the Polar Plunge if the West Region hits $50,000 and we’re already OVER HALFWAY there!

Now it’s time to show the state that the Texas Panhandle really is the best. Let’s rally together, push us over that $50K mark, and send Tim into the icy waters for an even greater cause, supporting Special Olympics Texas athletes across our region.
