Future health care providers visited the Amarillo campus for a Red Bag Tour! Students from high schools across the Panhandle learned about career pathways in pharmacy, medicine, nursing, research and physical therapy while touring the facilities on the Amarillo campus. Students and faculty members shared their journeys and gave insight on how they can make a difference in health care.

team members and students were proud to support Turn Center at the annual Celebration of Hope gala last month. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Health Professions, are proud volunteers for Kids Inclusion at Turn Center; this unique program gives children with and without disabilities a chance to play and compete in different sports like softball, basketball and soccer.

Turn Center is the only non-profit in the region that provides physical, occupational and speech therapy services in a centralized, comprehensive therapeutic facility for children of all ages.

in Amarillo was recently recognized by Our Blood Institute at Coffee Memorial Blood Center for its partnership and commitment to community service. Through campus blood drives last year, TTUHSC collected 44 blood products, helping impact more than 132 lives across the community and reinforcing its dedication to improving health across the Panhandle.

In the Panhandle, hospitals and families have access to donor milk through local milk banks, providing an important resource when a mother’s milk is not available.
