Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo is a major center for health care. TTUHSC is home to Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo.

If you are looking for a new physician, we would love to help. Our departments include Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Psychiatry. In an effort to provide across-the-board medical care, TTUHSC also offers the Breast Center of Excellence. In addition to providing excellent patient care to residents throughout the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma and New Mexico, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center proudly teaches the next generation of physicians and pharmacists. Our campus includes the School of Medicine, School of Health Professions and School of Pharmacy.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo, today, announced a $1 million philanthropic gift from Amarillo National Bank to support the TTUHSC Pediatric Fund for Excellence.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center President Lori Rice-Spearman, Ph.D., joined Brian Weis, M.D., regional dean of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, and Shannon Herrick, M.D., regional chair of pediatrics, in accepting the gift from Amarillo National Bank President William Ware.

Todd Bell, M.D., an associate professor from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, visited a pre-K class at City View Elementary to teach young learners about handwashing, body parts and heart health. Students sang along to educational songs and even got to use a Doppler to hear their own heartbeats, making science and healthy habits exciting and memorable.
