Five Points Nursing & Rehab rolled out the red carpet today for Mike Campbell as he graduated Rehab to Home. 🏡✹

From the moment he stepped in, you could feel the energy—and on his first night, he owned karaoke with Pontoon like a star in a living-room-turned-venue. He sang, he smiled, and he set the tone for weeks of movement, music, and momentum.

Between therapy sessions, morning moves with Amber, porch sing-alongs, and a Bluetooth-powered dance party, Mike never missed a beat. And yes, he danced with our residents, brought his own music, and synced it to our speaker like a movie montage.

We capped his journey with a ring-the-bell ceremony on the red carpet—belts, cheers, and a big step forward on the journey home. Before he left, we asked for a word of wisdom. “Keep on moving.” A simple truth from a man who showed us how to move forward with grace, grit, and a whole lot of heart.

Mike, you reminded us that every day is a new scene in this energy-filled story. We’re cheering for you as you transition home—and if you ever need an encore, you know where to find us. đŸŽŹđŸ’«

Hey there, friends. Today our crew rolled up to Dairy Queen like a squad of professional ice cream consultants. We chased down the heroic quest for vanilla with a side of legend, because honestly, nothing says “adulting” quite like a dilly bar. 🍩

Huge shoutout to Amber, our Activities Director, who orchestrated this masterpiece of a field trip. If planning events were an Olympic sport, she’d have more gold than a Blizzard has chunks. đŸ„‡đŸ”ïž

To the residents who bravely courageous the swirls and the scoops: you didn’t just taste ice cream today—you tasted victory, one lick at a time.

If you missed it, you missed a moment that proves two things:
Ice cream + friends = happiness on a napkin.
Amber + dairy delights = a recipe for unforgettable memories.

Drop a comment with your favorite Dairy Queen flavor or your best “I survived a field trip” victory story. And yes, I’m signing autographs
 in banana-split handwriting.

Stay cool, stay kind, and may your scoops never wobble.

Big shout-out to Sheila Helton, our resident council president. She’s been steering the ship at Five Points Nursing & Rehabilitation for over two years now, which is basically a superhero origin story in cardigan form. Sheila, you’ve turned “resident voice” into a thing people actually listen to—like, with coffee-fueled enthusiasm, a dash of wit, and zero tolerance for “that’s how we’ve always done it” excuses.

If leadership were a movie, Sheila would be the quiet, steady voice in the room that somehow makes the plan click and the day more human. She’s led with heart, humor, and a knack for turning ideas into real, positive change—no cape required (though I wouldn’t say no to a cape, Sheila).

Five Points is better for having you at the helm. Here’s to many more years of listening, advocating, and maybe the occasional friendly prank that reminds us all why community (and good signage) matters.

Cheers to you, Sheila—resident council president, community builder, and the pulse of Five Points. You’re not just steering the ship; you’re making sure the dock has good coffee and great conversations.

Today at Five Points Nursing & Rehab, we took the music outside. DJ Mike brought the tunes, Amber brought the harmony, and Elvira brought the star power. The porch was our stage, and every clap felt like a standing ovation.
It’s moments like these that remind us: joy has no expiration date, and community is the best soundtrack.
Video below—hope it brings a smile to your feed the way it did to ours. Please like and share the video below to spread the smiles.

Hey friends, today’s lunch brought to you by Tamisha and the culinary team: barbecue ribs, cowboy potatoes, braised cabbage, a sweet cornbread muffin, and a blackberry cobbler that’s basically a love letter to your dessert-self. Yes, it’s as majestic as it sounds.

If you’ve ever wondered what perfection tastes like, imagine ribs that whisper “10/10” while potatoes politely high-five your palate. The braised cabbage? So tender it could win citizen of the year. And that cornbread muffin—golden, crumbly, and suspiciously comforting. Dessert? Blackberry cobbler wearing sunglasses, because it knows it’s stealing the spotlight.

Bottom line: today’s lunch is a vibe. If you’re hungry, you’re welcome. If you’re not hungry, you’re probably a tiny (delicious) monster.

Chef’s kiss to Tamisha and the team. Save some ribs for me, okay? đŸ–đŸ„”đŸ„ŹđŸ§đŸ‡

Big news from the Five Points and Rehab crew: Joseph “Ben” Pierce has been voted Employee of the Month by our resident council. That’s right—our very own Ben has levelled up from “Marbles on the Brain” to “Marvel on the Floor.” The secret? He plays chess while the rest of us dog-paddle through checkers, and somehow still finds time to make care proactive, thoughtful, and, yes, a little legendary.

Ben’s superpower? Seeing the board and knowing the next best move for every resident—without breaking a sweat, or a fan of chess puns. He’s the kind of teammate who makes you want to be better, do better, and maybe invest in a planning-ahead cape for good measure.

If you’ve seen him around, you know what I’m talking about: calm, kind, and consistently on top of things—like a human to-do list with a heart. We’re grateful for you, Ben. You’ve earned this, and the rest of us are just trying to keep up (preferably with snacks).

Join me in giving a huge shout-out to Ben in the comments. And yes, I’ll be hitting him up for chess lessons—consider this your formal request, Ben.

Stay fantastic, Five Points family. And remember: proactive care is the new black.

Valentine’s Family Night at Five Points: Royal Karaoke Edition

This week , Five Points hosted a hilariously heartwarming royal ball — King Bobby Warren and Queen Mary Brown ruled the scene, and Amber and her crew did the magical behind-the-scenes magic that makes the world go ‘plink-plonk’ (in the best way).

Families rolled in, the punch hit the sweet spot, and the treats were basically edible love notes. The karaoke was gloriously chaotic in the most wonderful way, from “Let It Go” to heartfelt croons that melted the room faster than a candied strawberry.

Shout-out to Amber for setting everything up with the precision of a Nobel laureate and the warmth of a grandma’s kitchen. To everyone who came: you showed up, you sang, you shined. We felt the love in stereo.

Happy Valentine’s Day from our Five Points family to yours. Until next time, keep the mic hot and the hugs even warmer.

With love and mic feedback,
Fives Point Family
