Today is a call to action for everyone to reflect on their internet habits and take steps to make the digital world safer. For Veterans and their beneficiaries, this day is an important reminder to:

• Follow best practices for online security
• Protect your personal information (https://digital.va.gov/cyber-spot/is-convenience-worth-your-privacy/)
• Guard against fraud threats like identity theft and emerging scams, including those using generative AI.

Tips to stay safe online:
• Use strong, unique passwords and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Verify website links before clicking—look for HTTPS and the padlock icon.
• Be cautious with links and attachments; phishing scams often look legitimate.
• Keep your software and antivirus updated.

Veterans who suspect they have experienced fraud can find out more and report to the appropriate agency at VSAFE.gov or by calling (833) 38V-SAFE.

Your vigilance helps keep the digital world safer for everyone.
