A huge thank you to our previous intern, Kelly Ramos, for running DBT groups for 20 weeks at the center. Right now, these groups have been discontinued and we will keep an update on when something similarly starts again. But once again, thank you, Kelly! Your excitement and energy will be a great asset on your next adventure. 🖤

With the world falling apart around us it’s easy to feel alone. Things are scary, overwhelming, and I know too many people rn who are doing their absolute best to just keep it together.

If you don’t have a family you feel safe with, if you are struggling with getting food on your table, or if you just typically keep to yourself and want to branch out a little I would like to encourage you to come out to Q***rsgiving this year!

Our goal is to provide a safe space, meal, and community to those who need it. Q***r centered, community driven and organized, and completely free! All leftover food will be made into plates and dispersed to anyone who is hungry because everyone deserves to eat and feel seen.

While money is an essential part of mutual aid, we shouldn’t need this to be able to eat. I want the focus to be around what we can accomplish when we pool our immediate and available resources. Because of this I want to avoid taking financial donations if we can help it.

We will need:
-labor
-food
-board games
-relevant zines/political information
-getting word out to people

Change of plans for this Friday 11/14 from 5-9 pm

Due to unforeseen circumstances involving the government shutdown and flight cancellations, the educational event with TENT will be rescheduled for the beginning of the new year.

In light of this, AATAG is going to offer a free hot dog cookout on Friday night. Feel free to bring something or just yourself. We will also have food distribution for anyone in need. Come socialize with us!

I am totally and completely humbled to see the front of our building now that she’s got her makeup on thanks to and . Look at this thing. To see the vision that’s taken over a decade to come to fruition often feels like an alien concept to me. Like it’s not real or it hasn’t happened. That might just be my autism talking, but it takes a lot to excite me. I could feel a tiny jump in my heart when I pulled up to the building today. We’re building a really cool center, y’all. The community is longing for this type of space, and it’s being shaped into something pretty awesome. Thank you for letting me be a leader in this city and for trusting me to do this thang.
