Residents graciously shared treasured wedding photos, meaningful memories, and the love stories that have shaped their lives. It was a touching celebration of enduring love, friendship, and community.

On Thursday, Feb. 12, the sports lounge on the second floor of The Legacy at Town Square was decorated for Valentine’s Day. Red and pink roses sat on the mantle, a mix of love songs played on the TV, and the tablecloths, plates, and cutlery were decorated with pink and red hearts. Over 20 residents and their loved ones sat with their wedding photos, enjoying Valentine’s Day-themed sweets and beverages.
At the front of the room stood two married couples, Elsie and Bob, and Lynda and Jim. In front of a makeshift podium, the couples held hands as Reverend Ashley Winger of Genteva Health Services, a partner service at the assisted living and memory care facility, led them through a recommitment ceremony.
“I promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever,” Bob and Jim told their wives
