Specializing in speech sound disorders (CAS, phonological, articulation) and orofacial myofunctional disorders, YSP fosters close knit relationships with clients and families. YSP offers:
PROMPT II level trained, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and proficiency in sign language. Erin Gaul MS, CCC-SLP (owner and SLP) can be found in the Apraxia-Kids SLP directory for experienced, expert treatment of CAS as well as the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) directory and is a COM candidate (certified orofacial myologist). Meet ROWAN!

Rowan is a precious little girl who attended my CAS Intensive last year. She is diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder GADAD-2B also known as GAND. She came from out of state, and she took a piece of my heart back home with her 💔

Rowan came to me with limited spoken words, and by the end of our week together, she was saying “hi” consistently.

I am thrilled to hear this word is going STRONG at home one year later!! (I’m not crying, you are 😭)

Mom ( .meet.for.moms - go follow her!) sent this to me nearly a year later. I think I’ve watched it 30x!!

Here is PROOF one word can make a difference👏🏻 ❤️👊🏻

My 🔥 take-

OMT can help A LOT of things, but mouth breathing, tongue tie, high palate, etc have never precluded a child from attempting to talk as a toddler!
Could intelligibility be compromised? Maybe.
What OMT CAN help with (4yo+)
🟢 mouth breathing
🟢 pre and post frenectomy care
🟢 tongue thrust swallow
🟢 low resting tongue position
… and more!
OMT is not a fad, nor is it the answer to every speech and language concern.

Here is a little guy near and dear to my heart!

Ben is on the spectrum, and will often script and prefer no eye contact. I respect that and allow his need for both. However, Ben demonstrates a clear intent to communicate and will make solid eye contact, watch my mouth, and attempt words despite his CAS diagnosis. Here we say, 'open' for the first time!!

Our Story

Specializing in pediatrics, Erin is a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist. Fostering close knit relationships with clients and families is paramount in the therapeutic process. A Gallaudet University graduate, Erin's specialties include Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) populations and all other speech sound/motor speech disorders, as well as Deaf/HOH aural habilitation. Erin is proficient in American Sign Language.

Special trainings include: PROMPT I & II level trained, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and proficiency in sign language. You can also find her listed in the CASANA SLP directory for experienced, expert treatment of CAS. Erin also provides orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) for orofacial myofunctional disorders.
