Today, our members and staff spread some holiday cheer!

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been working on a volunteer project close to our hearts. Through the Adopt a Senior project, we collected and organized donations to give as Christmas gifts for residents of a local nursing home. We celebrated with a Christmas party filled with good food, music, and lots of gratitude. Some of us even ran into old friends!

It was a wonderful reminder of the power of community, connection, and giving back, especially this time of year.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and made this day possible—your generosity truly brightened the season for so many. 🎄✨❤️

Our happy helper elves have been hard at work sorting through donations for our Adopt a Senior program! 🎄

This December, we will be having a volunteer day hosting a holiday party at Sunrise Manor nursing home. We hope to spread some cheer!

We could use donations of new flannel shirts for men and women (all sizes), throw blankets, hygiene items, and large gift bags. 🎁

Creative expression is an essential part of many of our members’ recovery journeys. Our artists are already hard at work preparing for our annual Art Show in May—and they could use some fresh supplies!

Join us next month on Saturday, November 15th from 11am-3pm for the third annual Spaceway Art Show. In collaboration with 1221 Art Space, artists will be showcasing their work in both buildings. Our snack bar will be open, and we'll be serving special drinks and beverages for the event. Plus we'll have a fundraising raffle with several prizes up for grabs, so be sure to stick around to see if you won! We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Becky Fiscus and Cat Wolfe for more than eight years of delivering the SNAP-Ed program at Hope Community Center.

Our members admired their teaching skills, care for others, and great sense of humor. While we are sad to see them go, they are welcome to stop in and say hi anytime. 💜
