Society puts so much concentration on the external upkeep of our existence. Scripture, on the other hand gives us understanding of our complex make-up. If any one of our “elements” gets neglected, we will start to malfunction, and sometimes we don't even recognize that it's happening. Mankind was created to not only be the external image of God, but we can only thrive in His presence. In a world that works hard to reduce the importance of our connection with God the Creator, we must be deliberate about our spirituality. This means that we must constantly provoke an atmosphere where the Spirit of God empowers us to thrive in Him through prayer, worship, reading the Scriptures, and meaningful fellowship with Jesus. Today, be intentional and choose to reconnect with God. Not just for one day, but set up a consistent system where you are regularly engaging with the Holy Spirit and watch how your life changes.
