Quarter Moon Acres, Inc. is Polk County's first Christian-based horse center offering therapeutic horseback riding lessons, horse therapy programs, boarding, training and riding lessons. Our mission of connecting people, horses and God is obvious in everything we do. We share our love of horses and facility with everyone. Our Christian-based philosophy is rooted in our belief that the blessings we receive from God are to be shared with others to become blessings to them as well. Quarter Moon Acres' equine therapy center provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons to children and adults with physical, mental and emotional barriers. We offer equine assisted activities to these individuals without regard to race, color, creed or financial need. Our students benefit not only from the weekly lessons, but also from the relationship they develop with the horse, certified instructional staff and trained volunteers. Our Mission
With Gods help, to improve the quality of life
both physically and emotionally of all individuals with disabilities through equine assisted activities. Our equestrian program teams student riders with instructors, horses and volunteers in therapeutic riding sessions designed to challenge and inspire riders with special needs. Horseback riding helps people who are physically, cognitively or emotionally challenged achieve an improved quality of life. Based on input from doctors, therapists, instructors and parents, each rider's individuals goals are
designed to compliment ongoing therapy and education.
