So many moms are told that constipation postpartum is normal and not to worry about it and so they are left to their own devices thinking they just need to push harder but this actually makes postpartum recovery more difficult.

Your pelvic floor is already trying to heal from pregnancy and birth, and straining adds pressure it does not need.

With relaxed breathing, the right toilet position, and simple daily habits like hydration and gentle movement, your body can release stool with less pain and less pressure.

These small shifts support real pelvic floor healing and help you feel more comfortable day to day.

Constipation is a common reason pelvic floor symptoms feel more intense postpartum.

When stool sits in the re**um or when you have to strain, it increases pressure on tissues that are still healing.

But with better hydration, gentle movement, the right toilet position, and relaxed breathing, bowel movements get easier and that pressure on your pelvic floor goes down.

Your comfort matters, and real recovery starts with paying attention to what your body is telling you.

Comment RELIEF and I will send you the Postpartum Constipation Relief Routine Builder so you have a simple, step by step plan to support your healing.

Warm meals to support healing

Healthy fats to balance hormones

Your body doesn’t need more discipline; it needs replenishment

Cold smoothies and salads sound healthy, but is this optimal if you’re postpartum?

Probably not
They can slow your body from healing.

Here are some examples of warm, cooked meals that can support your digestion, hormone balance and help boost your recovery:
Soups and stews for steady energy

Roasted veggies for nourishment

Gentle heat for comfort and calm

Remember: Healing starts with warmth.

Early Postpartum: Why breastfeeding can trigger period-like cramps (or worse)… and what actually helps 👇

Normal doesn’t mean you have to suffer.

Track it.
Cramps should ease over time.

Comfort is part of recovery. You don’t have to push through.

I put together a simple step-by-step guide, to make your healing rhythm smoother, that fits feeds and nap windows.
