Present-Centered Bodywork Therapy- the importance of "feeling" for healing.

Touch therapy is an invitation to experience ourselves in the present moment. Feeling ourselves in the here and now can be a doorway through tension generated stress into the calming, restorative place of our central nervous system.

In my 27 years of practice, I've combined daily mindfulness meditation discipline with the studies of structural integration present-centered psychotherapy techniques, polarity ayurvedic bodywork training and osteopathic-based sensing techniques to create a very intuitive / meditative style of working. Sensitivities have evolved and developed that enable me to bring individuals to this very wholesome space in the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).

While settled into the dominance of our PNS function, internal core systems regulate, cells repair and rejuvenate and the stretching / melting of the connective tissues stir a global process of muscular-tensional release.

What each of us need is unique to our life experience. Present-centered bodywork treatments can begin to reveal our psycho-physical autobiographies in a non-threatening, extremely heartfelt way.
