I am on the struggle bus this winter!

Energy is low, and I feel a bit raw, even though winter is one of my favorite seasons in New Hampshire. Maybe it's the perimenopause??

At any rate, here are my current comforts...

1. I'm on my second listen to the audiobook series, A Court of Thorns and Roses. It's been a few years since I read it for the first time and I gotta say, it holds up. It feels like a warm cozy blanket when I get in my freezing car every morning! Hot tip--if you loved this series, you might like the new HBO show Heated Rivalry. It's not a fantasy, but it is a romance and it is to DIE for!

2. Skiing keeps me sane. I love being outdoors, I love working my body, I love seeing the snowy mountains. My kids compete in freestyle skiing so I'm out there every weekend whether or not I want to be. If I'm honest, sometimes the getting to the mountain part is a real slog but it's always worth it.

3. I have some new plant babies that are thriving! I put my propagation on pause during our holiday vendor market at Relevé, but it is back on now, and I get so excited to see each new shoot in the dead of winter.

FAQ: Microneedling with PRP ⬇️

What does it do?
Microneedling stimulates healing pathways in the skin that refine skin surface and texture. We can also add serums to microneedling to lift pigment and reduce fine lines.

What is the downtime?
About two days of pink skin. You can usually go about normal life.

What are the risks?
For darker skinned people, or people with a history of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), aggressive microneedling could cause unwanted pigmentation. We can mitigate this risk through adjusting the intensity of the treatment, and pretreating with pigment inhibitors.

What does it cost?
A single session of microneedling with PRP is $540. I see very nice results with a single session, although multiple sessions may improve results. These photos are before (left) and after (right) a single microneedling session. This patient was most concerned with improving skin texture and pigmentation without looking overdone. She was thrilled with her results, as am I!

IMO, the biggest reason people regain weight after stopping GLP use is because they did not make lifestyle changes while they lost weight.

This causes 2 separate issues:

1. The habits that caused weight gain in the first place have not been addressed, so it recurs when the appetite suppression is removed.

2. If you are not actively preventing muscle loss during weight loss, your total muscle mass will be less at the end of your weight loss than it was before. This makes your energy-burning machine smaller, so you'll gain weight even more easily than you did before.

How my program prevents this:

We measure your muscle mass monthly to ensure it's not decreasing. That way, you're no worse off at the end of GLP use than you were before, even if you do regain the lost weight.

We discuss lifestyle modifications that will help you be successful instead of pretending they don't need to be made. GLP peptides make it so easy to adjust your lifestyle, why not take advantage of that??!
