After a powerful week at the Masters, Gary Woodland’s story stood out far beyond the leaderboard.

Gary Woodland has already shown the world what resilience looks like—after winning the U.S. Open, he faced a life-changing diagnosis with a brain lesion and underwent surgery in 2023. Since then, he’s been open about the mental and emotional battle that comes with recovery, fear, and returning to the game at the highest level.

Watching him compete at Augusta, it wasn’t just about golf—it was about courage. Battling through fear, showing up anyway, and proving that strength isn’t only physical performance, but mental endurance too.

University of Michigan standout forward Yaxel Lendeborg has been open about his struggles with mental health and self-doubt—showing that you can lead with strength on the court while still being honest about what you’re facing off it.
