When breast cancer treatment ends, a celebration is expected. But for many survivors, small physical reminders of the journey remain — including radiotherapy tattoos.

At Amherst Laser and Skin Care, we understand that healing doesn’t stop when treatment is done. For some people, those tiny radiation markers are symbols of strength. For others, they are a daily reminder of a chapter they are ready to gently close.

We are honored to offer safe and effective laser treatments to remove radiation marker tattoos for breast cancer survivors who choose to do so. This service is about more than skin — it’s about autonomy, dignity, and supporting each person’s definition of healing. We provide this treatment free of charge. Our compassionate nurse practitioners and physician are here to guide you through the process.

The PicoWay is the newest addition to our laser lineup.

The PicoWay laser is an advanced picosecond laser system that uses ultra-short, high-energy pulses to break down unwanted pigments, such as sun spots, age spots, melasma, freckles, and tattoos. It offers minimal downtime by delivering energy in trillionths of a second to shatter pigment into tiny, body-clearable particles without significant heat damage. It also possesses collagen-building capabilities that help improve tone and texture.

The PicoWay is also known for its effectiveness on tattoo removal. It tackles most ink colors, including blues and greens, and offers faster, more comfortable treatments with less recovery than older lasers. A series of treatments is required.
