A meta-analysis of controlled trials revealed that regular, high-intensity yoga is more strongly associated with improved sleep than walking, resistance training, combination exercise, aerobic exercise...

What does this mean for you? "High-Intensity yoga" is a vinyasa or flow style class. Depending on your fitness level, that may be a beginners vinyasa class. The beauty of yoga is that you make the practice your own. So, if you want to go harder in a class....you do that. You want to slow down, that's available; or you can take a child's pose. Whatever your preference, you need to get your heart rate up to be considered "high-intensity."

Our intuition speaks to us through our thoughts and feelings, not our thinking.

Have trust to take the next step and the rest will be revealed.

Release the fear and be open to determining what you want…not how to get it.

🔔 17 days until Christmas…

If you're anything like me, you're deep in the swirl of shopping, planning, cleaning, cooking, and trying to figure out what on earth to wear to all the upcoming celebrations — all while doing your best to keep the true meaning of this season close to heart.

The commotion of this beautiful time of year can leave your nervous system humming on overdrive.

So I invite you, right now, to PAUSE! ✋

Take a slow, steady breath. BREATHE
… unclench your jaw
… soften your shoulders
… and gently come back into your body.

What are you feeling? Where are you feeling it? There's no right or wrong, it just is.

You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to find presence. You are allowed to savor the moments in between the hustle. You are allowed to REPEAT this practice anytime you feel a bit out of control.

May you carry a little more calm with you as you move through the rest of the season. 🎁
