We had a wonderful time celebrating Fat Tuesday with our very own Mardi Gras parade! 🎭💜💛💚 Our residents enjoyed festive beads, music, and lots of smiles as we brought the spirit of New Orleans right to our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special!

We are now taking interviews for the restorative and weight aid position. The applicant must be a CNA and the hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30pm but can be flexible. This position is responsible for the dining room, daily meal tickets, weekly/monthly weights as well as new admit, hospital return, and dialysis weights. Please speak with Cheryl ADON if you are interested or for more information.

We celebrate Mrs. Dorothy Pittman Day in honor of her incredible 102nd birthday on Christmas Eve. We were honored to welcome the Mayor of Amite to our facility as he presented an official declaration recognizing December 24th as a day dedicated to Mrs. Pittman’s life, wisdom, and legacy. What a blessing to celebrate such a remarkable woman!

Our annual Christmas party was filled with so much joy, laughter, and love. It was truly heartwarming to see our residents surrounded by their families and our amazing staff who care for them every day. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — bringing comfort, connection, and happiness to the wonderful individuals we care for.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration so special. These memories are the kind that stay with us, and we’re grateful to share them with you. ❤️🎄✨

The Tangi Pines staff went above and beyond with this year’s Trunk or Treat, creating a truly magical evening for our residents, their families, and our community. The smiles, laughter, and joy shared throughout the night were a beautiful reminder of what makes Tangi Pines so special. We are deeply grateful to our incredible staff for their creativity, dedication, and hard work, and to the families who joined in to make the event so full of love and warmth. Thank you all for helping create memories that our residents and children will cherish for a long time to come.

Just before the oil company explosion shook our community last week, Tangi Pines came together to celebrate the end of summer in the best way possible! We wrapped up the season with a week full of fun — from our festive Tiki Bar & Tattoo Social, to a refreshing Senior Splash, and a delicious Pizza Party to say goodbye to summer. 🍕🏖️💦

Our residents had an absolute blast — laughter, smiles, and good times all around. 💛 What a wonderful way to close out the season together!

We know most of you are aware of the incident at Smitty’s Supply. At this time we do not need to evacuate our residents. We are in contact with our local government authorities and will follow their recommendations as with any disaster. If we do need to evacuate, we will communicate that information to everyone.

Our Nursing Home Week celebration and Crawfish Boil were an absolute blast, bringing joy and laughter to all our residents! It was heartwarming to see everyone come together, enjoying great food, fun activities, and each other’s company. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible staff, whose hard work and dedication made this event possible, and to the family members who joined us and helped make the day truly special. Your presence and support created lasting memories for our residents, and we’re so grateful to have shared this wonderful time with you all.

Residents of The Lodge at Tangi Pines marked Easter with a visit from the Easter bunny, a church service replete with goodies, and a final egg hunt. We are grateful to everyone who volunteered their time to make these events special and to the family who came to visit their loved ones.
