Sunday Morning☀️

Today’s Scripture

Serve the LORD with gladness and delight.
Psalm 100:2, AMP

Today’s Word

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and served in the household of Potiphar. He could have been bitter and slacked off, but he kept being his best, serving with excellence, doing more than required. Potiphar noticed and put him in charge of his whole household. When Joseph was unjustly put in prison, the same thing happened there. He was so excellent that he was put in charge of the prison. All that led to his interpreting Pharaoh’s dream and being made prime minister of Egypt.

You can serve your way up. People notice when you go the extra mile. You should be so productive, so above and beyond, so exceptional at work that there’s a gap when you’re not there. That doesn’t mean you have the most talent; it means you know how to serve well. Keep serving, keep being faithful, keep helping somebody else rise higher. Serve your family with a smile, go to work with a good attitude, sing in the choir with joy. Remember that you’re serving the Creator of the universe. He’s keeping the records.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for calling me to be a person of excellence in everything I do, to go the second mile and always be my best. I want being my best to flow out of my heart of love for You. I believe that as I give it my all, I will see Your goodness and favor in my life in new ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Good Morning Family ☀️

Today’s Scripture

“Sovereign LORD, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.”
2 Samuel 7:28, NIV

Today’s Word

If you have a child who’s off course, you can live worried and believe the lies that he’s never going to do right. Or you can say, “God, You reign over him. You promise that my seed will be mighty in the land. He will fulfill his destiny.” Let God reign over your circumstances. Keep Him on the throne. Business may be slow and discouraging, but turn it around and say, “Father, You reign over my business. You say that no good thing will You withhold because I walk uprightly. You promise that whatever I touch will prosper and succeed.” That’s not just being positive; that’s putting God on the throne. That’s letting Him reign. Or with your dreams and goals, you don’t have the connections, the funding, or the experience you think you need. Instead of giving up, you have to say, “Father, You reign over my dreams. Thank You that Your favor is opening doors no man can shut, You’re sending divine connections, the funding I need.” If you want God to reign, you have to keep Him on the throne.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for being on Your throne, for reigning as sovereign over my health, my finances, my family, and my circumstances. Thank You that You are my provider, my healer, my way maker, my deliverer. The throne of my life is reserved for You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scripture

When [Peter] realized this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark, where many were gathered for prayer.
Acts 12:12, NLT

Today’s Word

It’s interesting that the church had been praying late into the night for Peter’s release from prison when he miraculously showed up and knocked on the door. In answer to their prayers, an angel had come into the prison, the chains fell off Peter’s wrists, and the angel brought him safely past sixteen guards and through the prison’s iron gate.

People all around us have chains holding them bound. You may have children who are off course, friends who are not making good decisions, loved ones who are struggling with addictions and running with the wrong crowd. Don’t stop praying even if it’s been a long time and there’s no sign of things changing. God is full of mercy. Because of your prayers, He’ll break their chains. You can stand in the gap for someone else who’s bound. Instead of talking about your friend who’s addicted, why don’t you pray for them? Instead of criticizing your coworker who is hot-tempered and doesn’t like you, pray for them. Your prayer can be the catalyst for chains to suddenly come off.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that I can stand in the gap for the people in my life who are living with chains holding them bound. Thank You that I can cover them in prayer and speak words of faith over them. I will make it my mission to help them find freedom in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Being God’s Smile ☀️

Today’s Scripture

Jacob said, “Please. If you can find it in your heart to welcome me, accept these gifts. When I saw your face, it was as the face of God smiling on me.” Genesis 33:10, MSG

Today’s Word

In Genesis 33, as a little boy, Joseph saw his uncle Esau forgive his father’s wrongs, show him mercy, and be kind to his entire family. He knew that his father had cheated Esau. He saw his uncle being good to someone who didn’t deserve it. He saw Esau being the smile of God, and that took root in Joseph’s heart. Fast forward to Genesis 45 where Joseph, now the prime minister of Egypt, forgives his brothers who sold him into slavery and thirteen years of misery. Treating them with kindness and caring for their families, Joseph became the smile of God.

How you treat people who have hurt you sets an example for your children. If they see you being hateful, holding grudges, making disparaging remarks, they’ll grow up doing the same things. But when they see you being merciful and kind to somebody who hurt you, not only are you passing the test, but your children will follow in your footsteps. More than your words, your example makes an indelible impact on your children. You’re teaching them to be the smile of God.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You for all of the times when You have loved me and smiled on me when I deserved neither. Help me to be forgiving, merciful, and kind to those who have done wrong to me. I want to be Your smile to those who don’t deserve it and an example to anyone who is watching. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”🙏🏾☀️❤️

Today’s Scripture

…yet will I rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:18, NLT

Today’s Word

The prophet Habakkuk was saying, “My crops didn’t bloom, my fields are empty, and my cattle are gone. I am feeling discouraged, defeated, and depressed.” He didn’t deny what he felt, but he also didn’t let his feelings dictate his life. He added one little powerful word—“yet.” He was saying, “All that’s happened to me will not control my attitude. Yet will I rejoice. Yet will I be joyful, knowing that God is fighting my battles.”

Feelings can be very powerful. Overwhelming negative feelings may come to you but do as Habakkuk did and add the “yet.” Don’t let the feelings have the last word. “I had a bad break, yet will I rejoice.” “The medical report isn’t good, yet it won’t steal my peace and joy.” “Coworkers aren’t treating me right, yet I know God is my vindicator.” When you add the “yet,” angels go to work. When you choose to praise instead of complain, forces of darkness are broken. When you’re consistent, stable, always in a good mood, thanking God that He’s working, you’re a Habakkuk. You’re a “yet” person.

Prayer For Today

“Father, thank You that I can rejoice in You, knowing that You are the God of my salvation and that victory is on the way. No matter what my circumstances look like, I know You are greater than my circumstances. I declare that I will yet praise You and keep rejoicing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
