👣 Diagnosis of the Month: Plantar Fasciitis 👣
At Breakthrough Physical Therapy, we’re shining a spotlight on one of the most common causes of foot pain — Plantar Fasciitis.

Plantar fasciitis occurs when the thick band of tissue on the bottom of your foot (the plantar fascia) becomes irritated or inflamed. It often shows up as sharp heel or foot pain, especially with the first few steps in the morning or after sitting for long periods. You may also notice:
✔️ Pain when standing, walking, or running
✔️ Tenderness along the arch or heel
✔️ Increased discomfort after activity
✔️ Tightness in the calf or Achilles region

If these symptoms sound familiar, it may be time to get it checked out — and that’s where physical therapy comes in.

💪 How PT Helps:
Our treatment for plantar fasciitis is focused on reducing pain, improving mobility, and addressing the root cause. This typically includes:
• Strengthening the foot and lower-leg muscles
• Targeted stretching
• Manual therapy
• Soft-tissue work
• Gait/footwear assessment
• Personalized home exercise programs
