Thank you to Keri Pickle and Maleah Stephens, Occupational Therapists from Elite Physical Therapy, for speaking to our Health Science II and Sports Medicine students today! They shared great insight into their careers and the many types of therapy they provide.

Students learned about hand and motor skill deficits—such as challenges with cutting paper or getting dressed—as well as sensory disorders. They even brought special glasses and headphones to let students experience visual defects and auditory sensory issues firsthand.

We appreciate them taking the time to help our students better understand this important and impactful field!

Health Science I students practiced dressing changes as part of their Integumentary System unit! 🩹💉 Students learned proper wound care techniques and the importance of infection control in patient care.

Students in Coach Mac’s class have started a new unit in Programming. They are using Edison Robots to learn how to program and code. Students are implementing problem solving by coding their robot to complete different mazes. 🤖📐

Teacher Academy 2 students took over the classroom. They researched curriculum, wrote their lesson plans, and taught them to the class. They did a great job and are ready to get paired with their mentor teachers!
