You’re one decision away from feeling completely different.
Two weeks ago I woke up cold, drained, and just not myself — and I knew something had to change. I didn’t know exactly what I needed, I just knew I didn’t want to keep feeling the way I was feeling.
So I packed my car and started driving south.
I had a destination, and I knew how I wanted to feel when I got there…but everything in the middle was a giant question mark.
Would I drive straight through?
Would I need to stop?
Would it be hard, boring, long, overwhelming?
That’s the same fear people have when starting a health journey.
*You know where you are (and that you don’t want to be there).
*You know how you want to feel instead.
*You know the direction you need to move in.
But it’s that unknown path in between that feels scary.
But here’s what surprised me:
The moment I chose my direction, committed to the journey, and started moving, it wasn’t nearly as hard as I imagined. And it felt SO GOOD.
A 19 hour drive sounds long — but it was also just one day.
It doesn't take as long as we think to be in a completely different place, feeling completely different, reconnecting with a version of us that feels more alive, grounded, and like ourselves again.
All I had to do for my trip was take the first step.
The rest unfolded on the way.
And that’s exactly how real change works.
You don’t need to know every twist, turn, or mile ahead.
You don’t need to have the whole plan.
You just need to choose the direction you want to go — and take the first aligned step.
