Many families think mobility decline happens suddenly.
But in reality… it usually starts with small signs that are easy to overlook.
Maybe your parent: • pushes off the chair with their hands
• walks a little slower than before
• avoids stairs
• holds onto furniture or walls
• stops doing activities they used to enjoy
Individually, these changes seem small.
But together, they often signal declining muscle strength and balance — which greatly increases the risk of falls.
The good news?
Strength loss is reversible at almost any age when it’s addressed early.
The mistake most families make is waiting until after a fall, hospital stay, or major setback to take action.
If you’re starting to notice these changes with your parent, it may be time to step in before a crisis happens.
If this sounds familiar, comment PREVENT or send me a DM and I can point you in the right direction.
