Adults at My Day Counts are learning new skills and giving back to the community. The photos below show our participants packing food for families in need, working with confidence and pride. These moments happen because their supporters believed in them.

From our My Day Counts family to yours, we wish you a warm and joyful Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude, and togetherness.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, we will be closed from November 27th - November 28th.

Community Employment Services is a program we provide at My Day Counts for those who are seeking a job or are currently employed. By providing a variety of paid community-based trainings to participants, they can gain skills that make them job-ready and confident when entering the workplace. When employed, participants are assisted with job coaches who continue to help develop their skills so they may continue to grow in their careers.

This video provides a testimony from the participants, families, and community partners/employers. We are so proud of the work that the participants put in to accomplish their goals.

🎓 Congratulations to the four incredible My Day Counts participants who overcame tremendous odds to earn their High School Diplomas!

Their journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, support, and belief. These graduates didn’t just complete a program; they achieved a life-changing milestone that opens doors to future employment and greater independence in the community.

We were honored to celebrate their success at the 4th Annual My Day Counts Graduation & Achievement Ceremony, held in partnership with New Opportunities Organization.

💙 A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible—our staff, families, and especially our generous sponsors and community partners:
The Murphy Family Foundation, Disneyland Resort, Orange County Chapter Charities, George Hoag Family Foundation, Fluor Corporation, Republic Services, O.L. Halsell Foundation, J.D. Gilmour & Co., and Slater Builders Inc.

We are so proud of the Class of 2025!

Together, we continue our mission to train people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities for success in life and work.

📸 Stay tuned for highlights from the ceremony and help us celebrate these amazing individuals by sharing this post or leaving a message of encouragement below! 💙

A photo of Anna running the cash register at one of her CES 3:1 training sites, Santa Maria BBQ! She enjoys being able to gain paid training experience at a restaurant to help hone her skills and be prepared for employment.

Anna stated her favorite thing about Santa Maria BBQ is being able to use the cash register because it's a skill she wants to develop further. She's grateful that a business in the community is letting her get hands-on experience to help her improve.
