Our Attitude of Gratitude Fundraiser is in full swing. Some of you may wonder.... Why Donate To DMC? As we rake up the leaves, we'll share just how essential your donation can be...

Did you know that every dollar you donate to DMC can change a life?

As Orange County's ONLY Independent Living Center we change lives by being able to provide information, resources, support and referrals. We create training and educational opportunities. We can grow staff to support our infrastructure to serve the growing need in our community.

Why does this matter?

According to Equity in OC data the current population is 3,186,989 in OC and the number of people with disabilities has grown more than 35,514 in just Anaheim alone.

Countywide we are at 278,935 growth with Boomer/GenX market of aging older adults is adding to the boom in people needing services.

According to the Office on Aging over 450,000 older adults (65+) account for 14.3% of OC's population.

DMC is currently facing exponential growth in the service needs and demands for people with disabilities, Veterans and older adults in Orange County.

It is why fundraising matters to meet the demand and support is needed for us to fill the lives and hearts of others all year long, through every season.

Donations Help DMC because we can build capacity for our infrastructure to meet community demands.

Your tax-deductible donation makes a difference and can change lives all year long.

Please help us serve more people and make a donation today:

We are just as grateful for YOU - as our community is grateful for DMC. Our attitude of gratitude is full in our hearts and we thank you for your support!

Strategy. Pivoting. Planning. Executing. Navigating a non-profit in turbulent times is a serious task.

It is NO SECRET that all businesses and non-profits have had a tough year. Being on DMC's Board of Directors is going to be very important when it comes to moving advocacy forward.

We are ACTIVELY recruiting for FIVE additional members for our DMC Board of Directors. WHY? Because outreach takes a village!

We are looking to build a community as much as ACTION-ORIENTED committees willing to put in the work to meet our very ambitious 2026 GOALS for meeting our fast-growing community of people with disabilities, older adults and Veterans.

SPECIFICALLY we are seeking those with extensive Board expertise to fill these open roles:

* A Fundraising Chair - to rally an entire committee together for intensive donor outreach. Solid track record preferred.

* A Governance Chair - to support our Board Secretary. Government background a plus!

* A Finance Chair - to support our Board Treasurer - Must have a finance background.

Are you someone who was born to be an advocate for people with disabilities, Veterans and older adults.

Does the opportunity to make a difference in the community excite you?

Is outreach and networking in Orange County your thing?

Are you interested in sharing your lived experiences and your passion for our mission at DMC?

Do you consider yourself to be a seasoned business pro with finance, fundraising, legal, recruiting and strategy?

Do you have a Government background or vast non-profit expertise to create seats at the table to amplify DMC's voice in the community?

Does volunteering excite you and are you committed to actively participate in sharing your voice and vision?

Is your donor network strong?

If this sounds like you - you just might be a fit for our DMC Board of Directors!

Apply Now! https://daylemc.org/board/

There is no place like home. But for 7,322 homeless people in OC - the idea of having a place to call home can feel isolating, overwhelming and far away. DMC's Housing Program is one of our highest in-demand service areas as an Independent Living Center.

We are looking for a Housing Support Specialist who loves to analyze, research, be supportive and solution-oriented while being a multitasker desiring to make a huge impact. We need someone who has a minimum of two years of experience working in disability specific services, housing/modification and relevant areas along with the following qualities:

Are you thorough, detail-oriented and proactive?

Do you like to streamline, improve, and contribute ways to maximize efficiency, productivity and see things through to fruition?

Are you a person who loves to do outreach, connect, inform and educate?

Do you possess working knowledge of general property management practices, Fair Housing legislation, as well as policies and culture of local real estate trade organizations?

Are you an administrative powerhouse seeker of resources, solutions and a way forward with self-driven initiative to meet intense deadlines with ease?

Do you have experience in being a community leader, an advocate with a passion to end the homelessness crisis and taking an active role in participating in making a difference each day?

Are you someone who can pivot, investigate, plan and also play an active role in navigating an array of public assistance and community resources assisting others under a high-pressure/highly stressful and demanding environment?

If your commitment is strong to make a huge impact, we encourage you to learn more and apply! https://daylemc.org/about-us/employment-opportunities/

Reflecting on our gratitude,
We light a candle to say-
Where would we be without our IL
and Dayle McIntosh who paved the way.
Just like the autumn leaves,
Facing seasonal change,
We look to community support,
to help us plan and rearrange.
Your donations are the key -
To helping us grow and reignite,
a flicker to a flame,
with a future looking bright.
When the world may seem uncertain,
We hope DMC will always reassure,
our services can grow,
And together we endure.
Please donate today: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ZGDDYL7MLHKHN
Your donations will support us in becoming to be,
serving more individuals through what we do at DMC!

We are grateful. Thank you!

We value our Veterans and are grateful to be a resource in providing a pathway to Veterans living the lives they choose. DMC believes access and independence matter. For our Veterans, this has so many layers because we understand that people who serve sometimes have a hard time getting the help they deserve, need and want.

We encourage you to take a look at our DMC Veterans Independence Program Web Page and sharing it with a Veteran today! Your act of support can help someone or yourself, if you are a Veteran discover resources and information to starting off the New Year in a new light: https://daylemc.org/veterans-independence-program/

Share our flyer:https://daylemc.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Veterans-Independence-Program-1.pdf and read about what we do!

We look forward to serving you!

We know it's been a busy month for everyone as all individuals who use a computer have had to adapt to technology changes with all of the year-end software updates.

Hi. It's me, Liza. How are you doing? No seriously. Has anyone bothered to ask you this question today? I think a sparrow tried to stop to ask me this while I've been standing out here. It's kind of lonely, you know.... worrying, wondering if we're going to make our fundraising goals. I'm a human just smiling in front of another human asking for you all to show DMC some love. What does it take to get a "like" or a share around here? Hey, I'm not complaining - I'm deeply curious.

Won't you help us out at DMC?

Please share this LINK: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=ZGDDYL7MLHKHN

Thank you for supporting in the name of community, advocacy, access and independence! I am grateful for anything you can do. We have 23 prizes to win this year - I truly want you all to win something but you can't have an opportunity /chance to win, if you don't get yourself entered by making a donation so know I'll make sure you're included in our prize opportunity drawing if you donate today!
