We are lucky to STILL BE HERE as Orange County's ONLY Independent Living Center for people with disabilities, older adults and Veterans after FORTY-NINE YEARS -----49! I mean, that's pretty cool, right?

Do you know what that actually means though? That's 49 years of fundraising in order to keep our doors open! Sheesh! It's true what they say - Fundraising TAKES A VILLAGE --- so Thank You, Sweet Village for adding to our pot of gold in our rush to make it to our 50th birthday next year. (See what I did there and it's only Monday and I could use another coffee). 😁

This role is about action-oriented performance in clerical/administrative support tasks while also helping to grow our consumer service through database work.
No two days will be the same in your role and is most ideal for a bright, energetic and enthusiastic person who wants to master multiple things.

From juggling consumer-facing compassionate demeanor with walk-ins; to high-level agency visitors and partners to working with supportive volunteers eager to grow and learn – you won’t be bored. Your primary “make a difference” abilities can change a person’s life in providing the resources to an individual’s first step on their journey with DMC - This all-in-one multi-tasking role in our front office.

· Are you bilingual in English and Spanish with experience working with people with disabilities and older adults in marginalized communities?

· Do you possess strong communication (written, verbal, non-verbal/behavioral) detail-oriented skills with a sense of urgency and proficiency?

· Are you able to pivot with agility spontaneously to handle multiple needs at once with prioritization, grace, ease, tact, diplomacy, courtesy and respect with kindness as part of your characteristics?

· Do you have a curiosity, sense of wonder in how to ask the right questions while answering an individual’s needs?

· Are you a person who has strong emotional intelligence in reading a lobby full of consumers with the sensitivity of tapping into a caller’s courage to make a phone call to ask for help?

· Is problem-solving a major part of your wheelhouse in bringing forth organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-pace environment?
