One of this week’s upper body sessions 💥

Rotation + Stability + Power + Strength

Rotation and stability are two pieces that often get overlooked in upper body training. If the trunk can’t rotate well, or resist rotation, the shoulder ends up taking on more than it should

1️⃣ Landmine SA Rotational Press

Teaches the body to transfer force from the core into the upper body

2️⃣ Iso Split Squat w/ Rainbow Slam

Stable lower body, dynamic upper body
Trains the shoulders and trunk to create power while resisting excess movement through the hips

3️⃣ KB Gorilla Rows

Pulling/posterior strength with an anti-rotation demand

KB Bent Over Rows

Lats, mid-back, and spinal stabilizers stay under constant tension

4️⃣ Med Ball Rainbow Slams (heavy)
Rotational strength and force production through the trunk and shoulders

Med Ball Rainbow Slams (lighter / faster)
Same pattern, but training speed and power

5️⃣ Single Arm Overhead Carry (40 yd)
Shoulder stability and trunk control while moving under load

6️⃣ Landmine Offset Stance SA Press

The staggered stance creates an anti-rotation demand, core has to stabilize while you press

Training the upper body isn’t just about pressing or pulling. It’s about building a system that can produce force, transfer it, and control it

Home really is where the people are, and lately I’ve been so grateful my heart gets to live in more than one place 🥹

Lower body session built around loading with intention and owning every position 🔐💪🏻🤎

Block A:

1️⃣ Eccentric Nordics
4 sets x 4–6 slow reps (3–5 sec lower)

2️⃣ Dumbbell Single-Leg RDL
4 sets x 6–8 per side

Block B:

1️⃣ Bulgarian Split Squat (heavy + stable)
4 sets x 6 per side

2️⃣ TRX Single-Leg Suspended Lunge → Jump
3 sets x 4–6 per side

Mobility / Bodyweight Maintenance
- Pistol Squats
- Lateral Lunges (sit into depth)
- Shrimp Squats
3 sets x 4-6 per side

Today is one of those days that always holds a little extra magic in it. It’s Christmas, but it’s also my grandma’s 91st birthday (my grandpa turned 93 in August) And they’re a huge reason why health means so much to me ♥️

Not in the performative way
Not in the aesthetic way
But in the quiet, everyday way

I’ve been lucky enough to witness what happens when someone takes care of themselves spiritually, physically, and mentally over an entire lifetime. I’ve seen how movement keeps you independent, how purpose keeps you curious, how faith and connection keep you grounded, and how tending to your inner world matters just as much as tending to your body

They’ve taught me that longevity isn’t just about adding years to your life, it’s about adding life to your years. About being present, capable, connected. About still laughing, still walking, still showing up for the people you love

It’s a reminder that how we live matters, not just for us, but for all the lives we touch along the way 🫶🏻

Happy Holiday season to all, keep shining your light for those who you don’t even realize need it 💫
